Jayden Daniels, a former Heisman Trophy winner from LSU, has ambitious goals for the Commanders’ future. In a statement reported by Fan Nation, Daniels expressed his determination to turn things around for the team. He is focused on bringing one of the league’s most historic franchises back into contention. 

The team also has high hopes for the QB. At a recent press conference, Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota shared his thoughts on the team’s young quarterback, Jayden Daniels. When asked about Jayden’s performance since joining the team, Mariota had high praise.

He said, Yeah, he looks good. He really moves well, throws the ball well, and for a young guy coming in, he seems to really command the offense. I think that’s important. I think it’s very important in the quarterback position to be able to stand in front of these guys, especially older players, and nail it and say,I got this, I got it figured out’. He further stated that he believes Daniel has excelled at that, and the team needs to keep supporting his growth and development. Ultimately, when they all compete together, it benefits everyone in the room.

Therefore, Jayden’s potential is encouraging for the team. They have a quarterback who isn’t willing to settle for mediocrity. His confidence and determination are evident. Although he isn’t the loudest leader, his presence and attitude inspire his teammates during crucial moments. At some point in the future, we’ll get this thing turned around, hopefully, but take it day-by-day. I’m willing to work and put everything out there on the line, Jayden said.

The Commanders had a promising draft, and much of their future success will depend on Daniels. Previously, Daniels made history by leading LSU to a decisive 56-14 win over Georgia State. He set a remarkable record in both LSU and Southeastern Conference history. Jayden became the first LSU QB to throw 6 touchdowns and run for 2 more in a single game. Daniels’ 8 total touchdowns matched the SEC record set by Joe Burrow.
