The New York Giants finally ended their losing streak, and the Washington Commanders helped them do that. The game concluded 31-19 in the Giants’ favor, bringing their record to 3-8. It is a dismal record, but they were able to snag a win. Something else happened, and now, the Commanders cannot wash off their losses.

Apparently, the teams could not catch a break after the game concluded and it has to do with the FedEx Field facility. The 4-7 Commanders have one more problem on their list that can fortunately be fixed and has nothing to do with a Super Bowl. A tweet from MLFootball shared something interesting after the game concluded.

The Commanders and the Giants were not able to take a shower after the game. The main water heater experienced failure, which prevented the team from relaxing after the game. The heater failure affected the water supply in field-level locker rooms. The problem couldn’t be resolved without shutting down the water supply to the whole facility; so the teams couldn’t clean themselves.

The Commanders fumbled the game with multiple turnovers and interceptions. These botches ended up blemishing the already embarrassing record that they have in the season. NBC Washington dubbed the game the “worst defeat of the season” for the Commanders and especially for Ron Rivera. The Giants won with a third-string quarterback who managed to gain some serious yards in the game.

The Commanders couldn’t blitz Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito, and he made sure he squeezed the opportunity. Moreover, the Commanders couldn’t even wash their disappointments away.

The Commanders QB was intercepted 3 times in the game, and adding to that, the team had 6 turnovers. These messed-up plays turned out to be the tipping point for the Commanders. That’s what DeVito took advantage of. He passed for 246 yards and gained 3 touchdowns in the game. He was the one who helped the Giants show some improvement against the Cowboys, where he passed for 86 yards.

The Commanders even fumbled the ball on a kick return. The Commanders QB did all he could, even ran for a touchdown but was taken down. He didn’t have the best day as a QB and got picked 3 times. However, Sam Howell completed 31 out of his 45 passes. However, he was sacked 6 times in this game. The Commanders might be due for an overhaul considering how the NFL teams are hiring and firing head coaches left and right. Ron Rivera might have to watch out for his job.
