Sunday Night Football is back!! After comfortably defeating the Cincinnati Bengals to a 27-14 scoreline, the Indianapolis Colts will now face the Jacksonville Jaguars at the EverBank Stadium. The Colts are coming with a two-game winning. On the other hand, the Jaguars are yet to record their first win this season. As both teams prepare to give their all in the game, Mother Nature might throw the final strike.

A high chance of rain showers and thunderstorms is forecasted during the match at the EverBank Stadium. NFLweather.com has predicted an 80% chance of a thunderstorm, with a half and three-quarters of an inch of possible rainfall. The sky’s expected to be cloudy with 89% cloud cover. The temperature will be around 79 °F throughout the game with 10 mph NE wind blowing around the ground.

The forecasted weather conditions during the kickoff are not quite subtle. It’s expected to be humid with 82% humidity, with just 5m visibility. The Colts haven’t won at Jacksonville for a decade, as their last victory came in 2014. However, with the current 0-4 record, the Jaguars are on a slippery slope. Win this game, and the Jags are still in. But if they lose, they are surely done for. The Colts are currently 2-2 and will surely eye for a third consecutive win. However, as per CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco, given their historic advantage, the Jaguars are ahead in this matchup to thrash the Colts and register their first win of the 2024 season.

The Colts have shared a positive update on Anthony Richardson’s injury status. They have downgraded him to doubtful. Due to an oblique injury, the 22-year-old left the Steelers game early. He hasn’t yet made a full recovery and participated in three limited practices this week.

The young QB was listed as questionable, and as per Athletics’ James Boyd, Joe Flacco was taking most of the reps on Friday. As per the journalist, Richardson sat behind and saw the 39-year-old making throws.

What’s your perspective on:

Can the Colts break their Jacksonville curse, or will the Jaguars finally secure their first win?

Have an interesting take?

So far Richardson has thrown for 654 yards, three touchdowns, and just six interceptions, adding 141 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on the ground. Now it is going to be a question for Shane Steichen if he would start Joe Flacco, who, while covering for injured Richardson, did show his veteran experience and helped the team and let the young QB fully recover. Or will the team take the risk and play Richardson as their starting QB on Sunday? Only time will tell.
