Bill Belichick is in Colin Cowherd’s crosshairs again. Cowherd was one of the most prominent analysts calling for Belichick’s sacking. And when it was finally announced that he wouldn’t be continuing as HC, he must’ve been really happy about it. However, that doesn’t mean his attacks on the 71-year-old have stopped.

Unfortunately, the Patriots have failed to make it to the playoffs this year. And with this, they have set a new record for themselves. Not making it to the playoffs for 4 straight years since 2000. So, what did he say in his fresh barrage of scathing remarks against the HC?

Is Bill Belichick tone deaf?

At least that’s what Cowherd thinks. And he wasn’t alone when he was critiquing him. Nick Wright from ESPN’s First Take joined him on his podcast as well. However, he did not seem to have too much to say about Belichick. But Cowherd? He had some choice words for him. He started off by saying that he could unsee Michael Jordan’s “bad” years. Not only that, he sympathized with actors doing bad movies. Cowherd could forgive and forget.

But the Patriots last 4 years? No, that’s something he can’t “unsee”. Colin remarked sharply, “He is completely tone deaf. He can’t draft. It’s as if he has no understanding of offense.” Accordingly, even with the players that he did draft, he failed to develop them. But is Colin’s brutal assessment of Belichick valid?

Belichick’s track record this season

Well, it seems that he isn’t completely off the mark. There have been serious shortcomings in his offense. And they have risen to the fore especially since their last Super Bowl win. How so? The Pats’ offensive tackle position is basically non-existent. Except for Trent Brown. But how long can the squad bank on just one player? They are just one injury away from O-line hell.
