It has only been a month since the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season. Yet, Football fans are already eagerly anticipating the start of the 2024 season. The date for the season starter, the Brazil clash, has already been announced, and fans are curious to learn who will face the Philadelphia Eagles in this opener. The rivalry for this battle was not revealed until today when allegedly the Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Maurice Hurst II confirmed it.

The 2024 offseason is underway. Once all the dust of trades and picks are settled, the 2024 NFL regular season will kick off on Thursday, September 5. The clash of this season is set to take place in Brazil, with the first game being headed to Sao Paulo.

Earlier it was revealed that the Eagles would be playing in the 2024 opener, however, their rival team’s name wasn’t out yet. But now, considering the latest interview, it allegedly seems the Browns could be the one facing the 2023 Super Bowl defenders. In the latest episode of the Cleveland Browns radio network, the team’s defensive tackle Maurice Hurst II, popularly known as Mo Hurst, appeared in the show to talk about the offseason and their preparation for the next season.

When asked, “If you are organizing the room vacation, where are you going?” Hurst replied, “I would play in Brazil this year, so I mean we could do a dual…just a little Rio trip out there.” So, does this mean the Browns are facing off against the Eagles this year in the opener?

Well, the co-host of the Barking Browns Show, Nick Karns, dropped the information on his official X account, saying, “Away game for Cleveland! The Browns were scheduled to be @ Philly this year.

This means, there is an alleged possibility that the Browns are facing off against the Eagles in the 2024 season opener on September 5. Additionally, it has been reported that this NFL 2024 season, Browns have the toughest schedule.

Why do the Cleveland Browns have the toughest NFL 2024 schedule?

Based on the 2023 regular season, the Browns, Ravens, and Steelers are going to face the toughest schedule on the grounds of their opponents’ win-loss records. As per the reports, the Browns “have the hardest schedule with an opponent win percentage of 0.547.

It is followed closely by the Ravens (0.536) and the Steelers (0.533). This was because all four teams in the AFC North had winning records, making their opponents’ combined win percentage high. On the other hand, the NFC teams like the Falcons and Saints, have the easiest schedules because the division lacked a team with a double-digit win record.
