Is Patrick Mahomes' off-day a sign of concern, or just a blip in his stellar career?

Following a devastating blow in week 11, the Chiefs are attempting to recover. Although the squad won their game against the Panthers, it was a very close one. Some even believe that Kansas City barely escaped the Panthers. But a win is a win, and in the end, Andy Reid’s team stood tall.

Following this win, an Instagram reel started to surface on the internet. This reel was about the HC conveying an inspiring message to his locker room. And it appears that Tavia Hunt, the Chiefs owner’s wife, is backing the HC.

The speech was so brilliant that Tavia Hunt replied to it. She uploaded the speech in her Instagram story and wrote, “I just love this message!” This was a much-needed appreciation for Andy Reid, who continues to ensure that his players keep their heads up.

Those who skipped week 12 are missing out on a lot. The Chiefs faced off, and after their first loss, this was a game where they sought to rebound. A lot was on the line and the team did win, but it wasn’t their kind of win. The final scoreboard was 30-27, indicating that this was a nail-biter game.

The players appeared to be unsatisfied because they were all aware that this was not their best performance. Although the locker room was a little tense, the HC brightened the mood. And this is why Tavia Hunt’s story appreciation was important. But what did the three-time Super Bowl winner say?

What’s your perspective on:

Is Patrick Mahomes' off-day a sign of concern, or just a blip in his stellar career?

Have an interesting take?

Well, the man explained to his team, “I don’t wanna see anybody hanging their heads, men. This league is crazy. That’s the way this thing goes, you saw it yesterday with college football. Nothing is given to you. And you are getting their best shots. So, you keep your heads up, men. And we get this thing rolling, right? We got some things we gotta clean up. But we keep it rolling here. That’s the important part. Winning is the important part right here.”

This was exactly the type of speech you’d expect from perhaps the best coach in the NFL right now. But this speech was not it, in the post-game press conference, the man also expressed appreciation for his QB.

It might sound like a nightmare, but can Patrick Mahomes have a poor day? Well, not usually, but the quarterback made some mistakes in the game against the Panthers. The man did not attain his full potential and suffered five sacks in the game. Interestingly, Patrick Mahomes before this game only had 12 sacks in the whole season. Well, now this is where things did not look good. However, the HC did not think in this way.

The HC vouched for his QB and stated, “Pat had a big day. He has a great feel for the game.” Andy Reid even discussed how Mahomes focused on covering yards rather than passing today. But, in the end, we all saw that things went somewhat well for the Chiefs. The best quarterback in the world accomplishes his goals through his abilities and those of his teammates.

After the game, it was also revealed that Mahomes was so off that he broke a big tradition. One NFL reporter revealed, “Unlike most days after a game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes didn’t chat with many teammates in the locker room.”

Well, that reaction is understandable. The man not only suffered five sacks, they almost lost the game. But for now, the Chiefs are sitting at a pretty 10-1 and their focus would be continue landing wins one way or other.
