Alright, that was certainly a tough night for the Kansas City Chiefs. A brutal 0-38 loss to the Denver Broncos left the fans scratching their heads and wondering, “What just happened?” I mean, before the game, they brought out the storm in every single game. Enter week 18 and boom. After four quarters of the game, they got caught in the storm. Speaking of which, things were heating up in Kansas, as an ice storm hit the city, but Clark Hunt and family aren’t gonna let the storm shake their spirit.

The final game of the regular season? Sure, Clark Hunt was present with his family to cheer for their team. However, things didn’t actually work out the way the Hunt family and the Chiefdom hoped for. Storm in Kansas, that delayed flight of the team, and alas that disastrous loss to the Denver team. Amidst all this drama, Hunt’s daughter Gracie and wife, Tavia, stepped in with a much-needed dose of positivity sending prayers to Kansas City.

Gracie took to her official Instagram handle and shared some family moments during the game. “Regular season wrap Sending prayers for everyone in KC to stay safe & warm this week,” Gracie captioned. The eldest heiress to the Chiefs shared pictures with her mother and younger sister, Ava. And she wasn’t the only one to send out some love for the Chiefdom.

Hunt’s wife, Tavia, also hopped on Instagram to share her own sweet message. “It’s sunny in Denver, but it feels like a KC snowstorm in our hearts,” Tavia captioned. “Hang tough, Chiefs Kingdom—this one’s just a warmup for the road ahead. Stay safe out there!” Besides enjoying the game with family, she shared some snow-covered shots of Kansas City.

Speaking of which, the bone-chilling winter has entered the KC as major part of the city has seen 6-9 inches of snow. Consequently, several Kansas City schools had cancelled classes on Monday. And honestly, that’s not limited to the schools only. Local businesses, city and state government offices are also shut down as snow piles up across the KC.

The National weather forecast has reported that this Sunday’s snowfall recorded almost a foot snow which is the fourth largest recorded snow in a single-day in Kansas City. And that’s not all, the roads acoross the city are blocked due to the snow. “We have several hundred trucks out on the streets, up to 300, that are addressing issues right now,” Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said at a Sunday press conference.

What’s your perspective on:

Did the Chiefs' backups fail, or did the Broncos simply outplay them with Bo Nix's brilliance?

Have an interesting take?

The Hunt family missed out on a new year gift

Let’s get out from the snow-ridden KC, shall we? The Carson Wentz led team landed in Denver after a delay and if you’re hoping for a new year gift from the Chiefs, you might want to ask for a refund. The powerhouse for the whole season came out flat against the Broncos. Sure, it was the backups vs. the team who had everything to gain. And guess Sean Payton and the Denver team showed up to play.

So what went wrong for the Chiefs and what went right for the Broncos, you ask? For the starters, Bo Nix had one of those games where everything clicked. It appears the guy had saved his best performance for this game only. And can you blame him? I mean, the rookie QB got an opportunity to shine and Nix took the full advantage. Out of 29, Nix succeeded in 26 passes for 321 yards and 4 TDs passes.

While Nix and the Broncos were laser focused for the win, seems like Wentz had no clue throughout the game. The 9-year veteran piled up just 10 passes for 98 yards. And that folks is what we call missed out on an opportunity. Head coach, Andy Reid, already confirmed that Wentz will exit the Chiefs locker room after this season. Now, with this loss, its unlikely that a handsome contract is waiting for him.

At the end of the day, the loss was a tough pill to swallow for the Chiefs team. But hey, we all know what’s gonna happen next, right? Patrick Mahomes and the other key starters might have rested well enough and must be eager to bring out yet another storm in the postseason. And who knows, the Chiefs may gift another Super Bowl title to Clark Hunt and his family.
