There’s a place for everyone, says Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs Chairman Clark Hunt and a staunch supporter of the team’s community. She’s not only the Chiefs’ No. 1 fan, but a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and unabashed champion of women in sport. All at the age of 25. Her career began on the soccer field thanks to her grandfather, Lamar Hunt, who invented Major League Soccer in the US. Soccer was her first passion but when health ruled her out, Gracie turned to pageantry and entered the unknown. And what a book she’s written! She became Miss Kansas USA 2021 and proved that she is as bright on the big stage as she is on the bleachers. Known for giving back, being a businesswoman, and pageant winner full of self-belief, Gracie has found her way while defending the Chiefs’ core both on and off the court.

The Chiefs Kingdom has two women that Gracie celebrated in an interview last week, each in their own way. One the wife of Andy Reid, and a pop star who needs no introduction —an unanticipated yet welcome addition to the NFL.

Anyone who has ever had the privilege of seeing Tammy Reid knows she is more than just the coach’s wife, she is the Chiefs’ soul. The Chiefs got their post-season rolling with a big win. Gracie recalled celebrations with Tammy and the team in the tunnel after the game. A very joyful moment celebrating the win with friends and family,” Gracie said, adding, “This is where we welcome the team in post-game before heading into the press conference.”

And Tammy’s energy? Blissfully Contagious. “Tammy Reid is one of the kindest and most optimistic people I’ve ever met,” Gracie said. “As wife of the head coach, she brings an infectious energy to both game days and every day in between.” It’s that positivity and nothing but positivity that has made Tammy a loved one in the Chiefs family. Whether it’s cheering on her husband or inspiring the staff, Tammy has a presence all of her own. Mrs Reid has always been more than just the wife of the Kansas City Chiefs head coach, she’s the glue. Tammy and Andy’s relationship started in the early 1980s at Brigham Young University (BYU), where she was a physics major and he was a physical education major.

Their first dateTheir friendly game of racquetball was the start of their fierce but loving friendship. They married in 1981 and created a beautiful family with sons Garrett, Britt, and Spencer, and daughters Drew Ann and Crosby. Tammy was a teacher at first, but switched to being a volunteer, frequently advocating for NFL-related causes. She’s been Andy’s lifeline over the years, between football madness and family first.

What’s your perspective on:

Has Taylor Swift's presence truly transformed the Chiefs, or is it just media hype?

Have an interesting take?

She is the perfect mix of warmth and unbridled optimism. Tammy is a beloved character in the Chiefs Kingdom, a true example of how to lead with heart. And of course, you can’t talk about the Kingdom without mentioning Taylor Swift. She’s been a suite-side fixture ever since she announced her relationship with Travis Kelce in 2023, and she has left a lasting impression not just on the stage but also off it.

Before going over Taylor’s impact on the team, Gracie recapped her with two words: “Absolutely incredible”. She is just as beautiful and wonderful as you’d ever imagine,” Gracie said. “So smart and intelligent.” For Gracie, having Taylor in the mix has been surreal — in the best way possible. “Sometimes it feels a little bit surreal because you and I grew up watching her and falling in love with her music, and so did so much of the world.” Not only has Taylor re-energized the organization, she has also grown the Chiefs’ fan base by a staggering amount.  “She’s grown the fanbase of our franchise between 30 and 40 percent from her attendance,” Gracie said.

Taylor Swift’s magic isn’t limited to arena visits: it’s working wonders for the NFL as well! Her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs has also generated an insane $331.5 million in brand value for the team and the league, according to Apex Marketing Group. Talk about a power move! From an explosion in merchandise sales to a spike in ticket demand and nonstop media attention, Swift has left a lasting mark on the NFL’s economy. And oh, how about her cultural effect — Taylor attended a Chiefs–Jets game and drew 27 million viewers (the most watched Sunday-night television show since the Super Bowl) — which made her the most culturally significant person in history. She’s even drawing in more diverse football fan bases, smearing pop culture on top of football. Swift is not merely rooting for the Chiefs; she’s re-imagining what it means to be a fan.

And as Gracie Hunt added, If there’s anyone’s game day looks who I’m dialed into, it’s Taylor’s.Who doesn’t love her game-day look? “She crushes it, and I absolutely love seeing her game day style.More than anything, Taylor’s goodwill has made everyone smile. No matter who you are or what circle you fall in… that just is who Taylor is,” Gracie emphasized.

The Chiefs Kingdom isn’t just about touchdowns — it’s about people for Gracie Hunt. Everything from Tammy Reid’s positive vibes to Taylor Swift’s stardom, the difference of each person on the team is what makes it special. And Gracie says “It’s been such a special time to have her [Taylor] be a part of Chiefs Kingdom.” With women like Tammy and Taylor leading by example, the Chiefs are demonstrating football isn’t just a game — it’s a community.

It’s like Gracie Hunt says, “There’s a place for everyone.” And in the Chiefs Kingdom, that spot comes with heart, spirit, and a little magic.
