It’s tough to watch your team make it to the playoffs only to be eliminated. And well, the Texans fans are experiencing a similar situation. The team’s loss against the Chiefs in the divisional round was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, QB CJ Stroud has received the most backlash. After all, the Texans fanbase had big expectations from him. But the Chiefs’ defense was a mountain even he couldn’t climb. While there has been a lot of anger against him, it appears that Stroud’s mother considers this wrong.

The QB’s mom Kim Stroud appeared on The Mom POV Show, where she shared her point of view. She remarked that while she understands the supporters’ strong feelings about the squad. It is important not to say anything negative about the players because they gave their all to win. Fans should support their team even when the players fail, as this is a respectable gesture. CJ Stroud’s mother explained, “You don’t even have to like us, but just be respectful.”

Kim’s comments come at an important time for CJ Stroud. The QB has received a lot of criticism not only for the game but also for another major issue. An NFL insider has disclosed a new story about Stroud’s combative behavior. ESPN 97.5’s Lance Zierlein detailed how OC Bobby Slowik and CJ Stroud clashed in 2023. Stroud was still a college football player for Ohio when he met with the Texans before the draft.

Zierlein revealed, “Bobby Slowik just kind of jumped him and said ‘I don’t give a f— what you called at Ohio State, that’s college, this is pro football,’ and Bobby kind of got in his face about it. C.J.’s not one to back down at all. I don’t know if Bobby was testing him, I don’t know what the deal was, but C.J. jumped up and got back in his face. It was very contentious, had to be kind of broken up.”

Although this was a difficult situation for the Texans, they went on to sign the QB in that year’s draft. While the QB and OC worked things out, the fans have been giving some hate to Stroud. While the 23-year-old has been in between a lot of heat, he recently has proven why the team signed him. He made some bold statements about bringing his team together after they lost to the Chiefs.
