Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury a while ago. The Cincinnati Bengals fans and the NFL community were left concerned as to who would take the reins of the Cincinnati team in his absence. There were speculations that the Bengals knew about the risk and still encouraged Burrow to go through it and play against the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, some interesting news about the Bengals QB1 just surfaced and things have taken an Aaron Rodgers turn. For good or bad is still a question! Adam Schefter didn’t delay and tweeted out what the NFL world needed to hear about the Super Bowl champion.

Per Adam Schefter, the Bengals announced that their QB1 has undergone wrist surgery today. The procedure went without any anomaly and Joe Burrow is soon to join the rehab process and enter the Bengals facility. His participation in future games still garners blank faces from the Bengals management.

Burrow sustained the wrist injury in the week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens. He was seen playing with the wrist compression band while the whole world was clueless about what was to come.

The game with the Jacksonville Jaguars is coming up and the Bengals haven’t been able to find a footing ever since Jake Browning took over the team. The Bengals have lost 3 consecutive games and the team calls for a healthy Joe Burrow. Per sources, the QB1 is expected to be back on Thursday to prepare for the bout against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

His replacement Browning isn’t exactly doing a commendable job as the team lost all games with him in charge. Though he did put up some amazing numbers against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bengals still came up short.

The Disappointing leadership of Jake Browning

In the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the QB completed 73.1% of his passes, which was 19 out of his 26 passes. He scored a touchdown and looked in control of the game for the most part. All this while he was sacked 4 times as well. This looked to be a huge improvement from the game that the Bengals played against the Baltimore Ravens, where he completed 57.1% of his passes, coming in mid-game.

Now, with Burrow’s surgery, the Bengals would be hopeful but would not expect an unrealistic turnaround time for him to recover. They are giving him time to heal but expecting him to make a return ASAP is a bit of a far-fetched goal. It’s hard to see Joe Burrow returning against the Jaguars, but the new update serves as a much more required relief than the previous injury status.
