Over the moon! That’s what best describes Ciara and Russell Wilson’s new journey in New York. “Been here before… can’t wait to do it again.” The new QB of the New York Giants holds a history of winning his one and only Super Bowl in NY. MetLife Stadium hosted Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014. Now that he is back with a new title on the team, all he is expecting is “to be the starter and come in here and be ready to rock and roll every day.” That rock and roll time has begun for Mr. Unlimited and his family.
Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson urged Brian Daboll and the team to sign Russ before the news broke. His reasoning was simple: “You give Russell Wilson slightly a little bit more money, and he gets an opportunity to not only continue to carry his brand” but also elevate his wife’s brand in New York City, all while mentoring young quarterbacks from the draft. Now that Wilson has initiated the move, he and his wife are already making their mark on the city. And Ciara couldn’t be more thrilled!
Sharing her excitement to see her man approaching the NY facility to sign the papers, CiCi dropped a dancing video of herself on TikTok. Well, as Shakira said, “Hips don’t lie!” Russell Wilson’s wife’s stories on her official Instagram account on Thursday reflected the same vibe. In one of the updates, the singer donned the Giants hat in her white bathrobe and did some hip shaking, expressing her new vibe in the city, along with her happiness for her husband.

Indeed, Ciara is at it again, stealing Russell Wilson’s thunder just like last season. Remember when his Steelers debut got overshadowed by her dazzling gold “queen bee” look? Or when his big win barely made headlines because she was busy going viral, dancing to GloRilla? Well, it looks like history is repeating itself. CiCi again hit the headlines with some twerking and grooving at one of her own songs. But that’s not all when it came to showing her support to the QB.
Ciara even accompanied her beau Russell Wilson to the Giants facility, and met coach Brian Daboll. The purpose was clear: the QB was called to sign his one-year, $21.5 million deal with the team. Sharing a clip of Wilson’s signing on paper, CiCi wrote: “What a day! Grateful for new beginnings @dangerusswilson @nygiants.” Indeed, the couple is grateful for new beginnings, and that chapter has already started for them.

Dressed in black, the couple made waves on their first visit to the Big Apple. Moments before signing with the team, Russell Wilson dropped his feeling, “Honored to be a Giant,” on social media. Now, after signing with the team, he and his wife, Ciara, ventured to Madison Square Garden to support the Knicks. However, the game didn’t end as per their vibe.

NY lost to the Clippers, 127-113, on Thursday night. Despite that, the power couple still had their best time in the new city. They met Spike Lee and Ed Sheeran on the floor. During the game, the couple were seen sitting along with multiple celebrities at the courtside. And the crowd? They just embraced the 10-time Pro Bowler with a warm welcome.
Cheers to the new beginnings!
