In a thrilling Sunday Night Football game that kept football fans on their toes till the last second, the 5-6 Green Bay Packers beat the defending Super Bowl champions. The victory over the Kansas City Chiefs largely happened due to the incredible partnership between quarterback Jordan Love and wide receiver Christian Watson. But in an unfortunate twist, the star wideout suffered an injury during the game, which threw the Cheesehead into dismay.
As fans awaited any news regarding Watson’s injury status, Ian Rapoport, an NFL insider, showed them a ray of hope. It seems that the Packers fans might see the WR back in action sooner rather than later.

With just three minutes remaining for the game to end, the Packers were leading 24-19. QB Jordan Love threw the ball toward Watson, which he caught and then raced around the edge of the field toward the end zone. Just then, he knelt on the ground and crumbled. He grabbed his leg and winced in pain. After he walked off the field, Rapoport revealed his injury status a day later. “It seemed like this one was more okay than not.”

But he agreed that hamstring injuries can be tricky, and the fact that he has suffered several hamstring injuries in the past just complicates the entire situation. The Packers would likely want to err on the side of caution, and Watson will miss some more games this season. He had also missed the starting three games of the season with an injured right hamstring.
This will be a terrible loss for the 0.500 Packers since the chemistry between the WR and the QB was just blooming.
Quarterback Jordan’s ‘love’ for Watson
In the Sunday game, Watson caught seven passes and scored two TDs before going down. In the first seven games that he played this season, he did not catch more than three passes, so in that regard, his Chiefs game was a season milestone. And the dynamics between the QB and WR will ensure that he will continue to deliver.

With the two playing together, the team has won three back-to-back games. Love recorded his fourth game with over three TD passes and zero interceptions. This is also an NFL record. The WR had nothing but praise for his leader. Christian said, “The only word I can think of is extraordinary. I think that his comfortability, his confidence, his ability to make plays is just, we’re seeing it more and more every week.”
