CMC’s mother Lisa (nee. Sime) had inherited sporting qualities from her decorated father, Dave Sime. And just like her siblings, she too went on to excel at sports from a young age. But soccer wasn’t her first love! Just like her dad, she too, loved running and track. Apart from that, she excelled in tennis as well, getting lettered on four occasions.

And earned a silver medal at the 1960 Olympics. Not only that, Sime was drafted by the Detroit Lions at the 1959 NFL draft.
