Not only that but Jones Sr. used to build furniture to make a living for his family. But during the time DT was in fifth grade Jones Sr. was arrested in the case of DUI. And the worse part is he was sentenced for 9 years in jail.

While it was a tough time for the family eventually things got well. Chris Jones Sr. had full support from his family which he revealed in an interview. The man claimed, “He’s always been loyal to me. That’s what I appreciated about him. Even though I went to jail all the time.” While he was in jail Chris Jones’ mother took care of the household. Mary Woodhouse is Chris Jones’ mother. She was the backbone of the family for 9 whole years and took care of the future NFL star and his two siblings. Who is DT’s White father?

Other than having a father in Jones Sr., DT Jones has another father as well. Being a part of the Chiefs for quite some time, Chris Jones surely has a strong bond with the athletes and the coaching staff. However, the 29-year-old once stated that he considers head coach Andy Reid as his ‘white father’. The Chiefs are well-known for having a family-like environment thanks to the camaraderie among the players and the coaching staff.

Expanding on that same bond, Jones said, “He’s been amazing. He’s been like, don’t kill me for this, like the white father in my life.” The DT further opened up about his connection with the Reid family as well. “He’s been very inspirational. His son, Britt Reid, is like a brother to me. His wife Sparkles, she’s like a mother to me, too. So, you know, for me, he’s been family.

Jones had a lot more to say about his ‘white father’. He explained, “We’re having those talks. Those mature talks are just having a little five-minute conversation about life and getting the laugh out of it. I think those small things in life go a long way“. Whether the DT will choose to stay with the Chiefs or not, it is clear as day that he enjoys being in the team’s presence and loves the culture present there.
