With Hardman back, are the Chiefs unstoppable, or can the Saints pull off an upset?

Injuries have marred this NFL season. Every team is losing players ahead of the week’s games. Before the Chiefs vs Saints game, the Chiefs lost 2 star players in the offense, while the New Orleans team will also bench crucial players. Despite being injury laden, the game promises to be a great clash this Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs received some positive updates ahead of their clash with the New Orleans Saints. Mecole Hardman, who was initially limited by a knee injury and missed practice on Friday, returned as a full participant on Saturday. Though he’s listed as questionable, the Chiefs are feeling optimistic. “I think we’re OK with who we’ve got,” said head coach Andy Reid, showing confidence in the current receiver group. Kareem Hunt (shoulder) and Mike Danna (calf) are also expected to suit up after being full participants in the latest practice session.

The Kansas City Chiefs are eyeing some key offensive reinforcements as they prepare to face the New Orleans Saints. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who’s been on the non-football illness (NFI) list, has had a 21-day practice window opened but remains limited in practice. His status for Monday’s game is still unclear, though if active, he could be pivotal with Isiah Pacheco (leg) on injured reserve.

For the Chiefs, other injuries include defensive end Mike Danna, who was limited in practice earlier in the week but is expected to return to the starting lineup after missing time. Running back Kareem Hunt, nursing a shoulder injury, was a full participant on Saturday, clearing him to return to action as well.

As Chiefs head coach Andy Reid noted, “We’re optimistic about getting some guys back this week, but we’ll see how it plays out come game day.” Saints too are unstable in the offense due to injuries. They are to lose 5 players in the week 5 game.

The New Orleans Saints are entering their Week 5 showdown against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs with a bruised lineup. The team has ruled out five key players already, including star Taysom Hill (rib), besides him linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (hand), right guard Cesar Ruiz (knee), center Shane Lemieux (ankle), and defensive end Payton Turner (knee) will also be on the sidelines. And to add to these injuries, linebacker Pete Werner (hamstring) and guard/center Lucas Patrick (groin) are both questionable.

Werner’s injury is a late development, and his status will remain a mystery until Monday night. As ESPN’s Katherine Terrell noted, “His status may not be known until the inactive lists are released.” With Demario Davis being the only fully healthy starting linebacker, the Saints’ defense is stretched thin.

On the offensive line, if Patrick can’t go, veteran Connor McGovern or rookie Kyle Hergel could step in. McGovern, freshly signed off the Jets’ practice squad, might be the next man up for his first Saints start. On the bright side, key players like Alvin Kamara (ribs/hip), Juwan Johnson (forearm), and Chris Olave (hamstring) are trending up, having participated fully in practice.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are relatively healthy, with only Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) doubtful and Mecole Hardman (knee) listed as questionable. They’ll roll out their usual starters, hoping to maintain their perfect record under Patrick Mahomes’ lead.
