Travis Kelce in the 99 Club—Is he the greatest tight end of all time?

Travis Kelce’s officially in a league of his own—both on and off the field. The Chiefs’ superstar tight end has shattered yet another record, becoming the first TE in Madden NFL history to earn a coveted 99 rating three times on the latest version of the EA Sports game. That’s right, three! ESPN tweeted, “No TE has ever been a part of the 99 Club as much as Travis Kelce!”

In a recent clip shared by Madden NFL 25 on Twitter, the Chiefs’ TE boasted about his latest accolade. “Everybody 99 yet again!” the nine-time Pro Bowler said. “I got the Xbox, oh yeah. Always excited to be a part of the 99 Club… now I gotta prove that I’m 99 worthy. Proud to be the Madden 2025 99 Club!”

Former Giants’ QB and two-time Super Bowl champ Eli Manning gave a video shoutout to the Pro Bowl TE. “The game has never seen anything like you, Travis,” Manning said. “Over the last 10 seasons, you’ve averaged a rating of 96, with a low of 73, which was before you even played a down in the NFL. For context, my lowest Madden rating was a 72, and that’s after 15 seasons and two Super Bowls.” High praise indeed.

Coming off an explosive season with back-to-back 100+ catches for the third time in a row, it’s no surprise Hill made the cut. Vikings’ receiver Justin Jefferson is hot on Hill’s heels with a 98 overall rating. Right behind him, Cowboys’ WR Ceedee Lamb is flexing a 96 overall in third place. The Niners’ RB Christian McCaffrey also got his first Madden cover this year.
