The Chiefs are nothing but close to making history as Patrick Mahomes and Co. eyeing the three-peat. Though NFL teams have attempted the three-peat eight times in history, no one has achieved that feat. But as the team focuses on the consecutive third Lombardi, the Chiefs’ tight end has dropped nukes on his former team, Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys. Confused? Let’s learn what the star player has said about the Cowboys.
The Chiefs TE, Peyton Hendershot, was in conversation with the reporters the other day. But, when the 25-year-old was asked to describe the Chiefs’ team culture, he compared it to his experience with the Cowboys.
The Chiefs No. 88 said, “This is throwing no strays… but I just feel like when I came to Kansas City… My first experience in the NFL was with the Cowboys, so that’s all I knew… I just feel like here it is strictly football and winning. Nothing else but just football and winning.” Well, he has subtly slapped Jerry Jones’s franchise.

Well, the former HC of the Cowboys Mike McCarthy has also talked about the culture at the Cowboys along with Micah Parsons. In November 2024, the former HC clarified to the media, “Micah and I had a conversation this morning about it and handled those things as men should handle it.” People and players believe the Cowboys’ main focus is not on winning the football, unlike Patrick Mahomes‘ Chiefs, but on business and contracts. Mike Fisher, a renowned reporter, called Jerry Jones’ team a “marketing company that plays football on the side.” Shameful for any organization, right?
Well, to get back to the Chiefs player, Hendershot, he has also said, “And I feel like with the Cowboys it’s a little bit more like… the public image. The extracurriculars that come with it, too. And here it’s just… let’s just win football.” Only these three people – McCarthy, Parsons, Hendershot- have talked about the Cowboys’ culture, but former Cowboys star, Dez Bryant, has also noted it.
In mid-January 2025, Dez Bryant posted on X, “From now on, I’ll speak my truth about the Cowboys.., whether it’s good or bad. Jerry has built a great brand, and now it’s time for the team to start winning. It’s time for a real culture shift. I’m fed up with all the nepotism… get someone in there who can win games…”
The Cowboys have been the second-most Super Bowl winner team in NFL history and have such a ‘distracted’ culture in the franchise. What’s the problem with Jerry Jones’ Cowboys? Many football fans and reporters think the owner became the major impediment to the Cowboys’ success. Well, that is a whole new topic!
Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ star player has started a new debate after making a controversial comment on MVP Awards 2023. Wanna know what the current Cowboys player has said? Let’s get the scoop!
Controversial comment on MVP 2023 by Jerry Jones’ Cowboys’ star player
As the MVP 2024 is set to be announced on February 6, 2025, at the Superdome in New Orleans, Micah Parson of the Cowboys has made a debatable comment on Lamar Jackson‘s MVP award of 2023. Parsons has said, “Well, I think Dak [Prescott] should have been the MVP last year.” Parsons appeared at NFL Network’s Good Morning Football. But wait, Micah has himself clarified why did he think so!
The linebacker added, “All things aside, you look at the stats and everything he accomplished- 12-5, playoff team, however you want to name it.”

Jerry Jones’ player also said, “He didn’t have a Triple Crown defense, he didn’t have all that. But then the year Lamar puts up the same numbers Dak did, he’s a for sure kick-in for MVP.” Other than last year’s NFL MVP Award, Lamar Jackson has put in the work for the Ravens this season.

The Cowboys had a terrible season this year, by the way. And we are not talking about their 7-10 record only. But the unnecessary drama of Mike McCarthy’s head-coaching future, the futile head-coaching search involving big names like Pete Carroll and Deion Sanders, and then hiring HC from his staff only. The national reporter Albert Breer has also taken a jab at Jones’ HC-search drama.
