When the Chiefs signed Hollywood Brown in free agency last year, no doubt, Andy Reid and crew expected a blockbuster performance from the wide receiver. But nope—the dude’s season played out more like a straight-to-DVD sequel nobody asked for. The guy spent most of the season on the sidelines following a sternoclavicular injury. Pretty much everyone in Chiefs Kingdom thought his one-year deal was a wrap before he even stepped on the field. The kicker?

Just when you thought that the Chiefs would move on from Brown, Andy Reid and Co. offered him a one-year contract extension. Yeah, you read that right. A deal worth $11 million—the same he stacked in the last season. The guy might have given a slight nod to this deal. And now, the 27-year-old announced his return to the Chiefs in a viral video.

“Chiefs’ Kingdom, your boy Hollywood Brown, we back baby, let’s get it,” he said in his video. BUT! It’s not his statement that caught everyone’s attention, it’s those red eyes that are kinda screaming—I’m high—at least, that’s what the fans believe. On Wednesday, MLFootball shared Brown’s video on their official ‘X’ handle and stated, “#Chiefs receiver Hollywood Brown’s video announcing he is re-signing has gone viral with fans saying he is “high.”

Guess he never thought about his eyes before posting that video, right? Anyway, we’ll talk about that later. First, let’s talk about his return to the Chiefs’ roster. I mean, after an embarrassing season, he was unlikely to return to play another season in 2025. Even the Chiefs might have had double mind, whether to re-sign Brown or not. The reason?

Well, after signing him in free agency, the Chiefs expected that Brown would bring out his best performance like he did in the 2021 season with the Ravens. But nope, the guy suffered a sternoclavicular injury in preseason, and his first stint with the KC seemed like already over. However, the WR made a comeback, just not the one fans were hoping for.

Because let’s be real—by the time he returned to the field, the season was practically over. With two games, a few catches, and not much else, the wideout had the kind of ending he never hoped for. But here we are, ready to watch Hollywood Brown catching passes in the 2025 season. And the way he announced his return to KC in his video, the guy’s pretty much looking confident. However, the fans are predicting another reason behind his confidence.

Fans believe that Hollywood Brown is “high

After coming from a seemingly season-ending injury, Brown played a couple of games before appearing in the postseason. And let’s just say the guy didn’t even leave a mark in the postseason. He wrapped the Chiefs’ postseason run, catching 5 passes for 50 yards. Yeah, not the kind that had everyone talking and the Chiefs handing him a one-year $11M deal. And now? Let’s just say the fans are not that excited even after the wideout announced his return. Geez! The fans are talking more about his red-eyes than his next season with KC.

They didn’t even need to zoom in. One look at those red eyes, and the comment section went straight to work. “Bro high as hell.” No hesitation. No doubt. Just straight facts (at least according to ‘X’ detectives). This comment was followed by another fan who literally doubled down, “He high ash😂”—because apparently, there are levels to this.

If Hollywood Brown showed some creativity while making that video, then no doubt the fans are going to show their creativity on social media as well. One fan chimed in and wrote, “He already smoked that celebratory cannon 🔥.” Well, let’s just say that Brown found a way to celebrate his $11M deal by… well, you get the idea.

Another fan was struggling to keep it together, dropping “This nga so high im crying 😭😭😭.” And honestly? The comment section was right there with them. At the end of the day, it’s safe to say that Hollywood Brown isn’t jus re-signing, the guy’s levitatingat least that’s how he had the fans believe.
