The Chiefs and Royals are both in a tight spot right now. With their stadium dispute ongoing, both teams have found themselves in the middle of nothing. After taking into account everything that has occurred, one thing is certain: the relocation will take place. And this can not be liked by Patrick Mahomes and company. However, it looks like the Chiefs have most likely decided where they will go after this.
The results of Missouri’s voting about Arrowhead surprised everyone. The people there forced the Chiefs and Royals to relocate their home stadiums. Ouch. Clark Hunt was also astonished by the results. Alas, he could do nothing about it. So the team opted to move on, and there are rumors that they will travel to the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. But there is another twist. Despite the fact that the KS Metropolitan Area is the best conceivable location, the teams aren’t excited to go there.

On 96.5 FM, the same was discussed. There too it was claimed, “They have no idea what they want to do on the Missouri side when it comes to what’s going on with the stadiums. They are supposed to meet Jeff City again this weekend, as Joh Patterson kinda talk about. But I just feel like they are behind the 8 ball in a big way from where the state of Kansas is. Because the stadium in Kansas required no votes, no vote of the people necessary to build these things in the state of Kansas.”
Wait! Is this a sign that the team will abandon Kansas? Well, currently, nothing is finalized. During the episode, it was also mentioned how there is still confusion amongst the team about their final decision. But then again, they don’t have the time to wait until November to make up their minds. And due to the time crunch, they need to make some calls, arrange meetings, and be done with the whole relocation situation ASAP. After all, securing a home turn well in advance of the 2025 season should be the team’s biggest priority at the moment.
It is speculated that Patrick Mahomes and his teammates desire to not abandon Kansas City. After all the QB has mentioned multiple times that the Chiefs’ success is because of their fans. Leaving Kansas City would be much more disappointing while Patrick Mahomes carries a flame of a dream for that city within him. Wait, what? This is a flame that will take Kansas City to the next level. But how?

Will Patrick’s dream of buying a Kansas WNBA franchise get crushed?
Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have previously discussed buying a WNBA franchise. The quarterback has dedicated his entire life to football, and even after retirement, he does not intend to leave athletics. He already co-owns the MLB’s Kansas City Royals and the MLS’s Kansas City Current. But his passion for Kansas is far from over. He wants a WNBA franchise with the name KS on it so that his daughter can grow up watching a variety of stuff.

Patrick Mahomes wants Sterling to see it all and then take an interest in whatever she wants. Even if it is a far cry from sports. The star QB even said in an interview, “Hopefully we get this WNBA team here. It’s for life after football, so I can still make an impact in all sports. And then at the same time, showcase to my daughter that she can follow her dream and go out there and execute whatever that dream is.” Not only that but the quarterback claims that buying a WNBA club is a no-brainer.

The competition for WNBA team ownership has increased dramatically in recent months. There have been bidding wars over it as well. Reportedly, a large number of billionaires and millionaires may be interested in the purchase. Obviously. And this is the reason why the price of the part purchased by the owner can reach $200 million. That’s some big number.
