The Chiefs vs Bills conference championship round culminated in the Chiefs crushing the opponent with three more points (32-29). They entered into the SB to accomplish the unprecedented feat- the three-peat. To this date total of eight teams have tried to achieve back-to-back three Super Bowl championships, but no one has been able to clinch it. The Kansas City fans must be excited to see they can witness this historical feat. But before they win against the Bills, the Eagles pummeled the Washington Commanders and entered into the SB after 2022. Now for the grand finale, the Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has sent a strong message to the Eagles.
After conquering the AFC, Clark Hunt said, “Now we get to do something that’s never been done before.” To elaborate, Hunt further remarked, “It’s an amazing achievement. We talked a lot this early in the year about the opportunity to be the first team to go back to Super Bowl back-to-back.” He also fired a shot at Josh Allen and his team, saying, “Arrowhead is very difficult for the opposing team to play and our fans made it so tonight.” Though the fight was brilliant from both sides, the Chiefs fans were the winners in the end.

The Chiefs have become the 9th team to appear in the Super Bowl after two consecutive SB wins. The most special thing would be winning the Super Bowl this time and creating history. The last time, the Pats went near completing a Super Bowl three-peat was in 2005. But they lost in the divisional round itself.
Before the Patriots, the Broncos had won 1997,98 SBs but couldn’t get into the postseason in the 1999 season. This list goes on. The Cowboys, 49ers, Steelers, Dolphins, and the Packers, all have tried to win the Super Bowl for the third time but couldn’t get it done. So, as the Chiefs owner was talking about, they have a great opportunity to become the first NFL team to do this. This becomes more special, as none of them reached the ultimate game for the coveted 3-peat.
In fact, Patrick Mahomes had visualized this last year when they were doing a celebration rally for the 2023 SB win. The Chiefs QB had said, “We’re going for that three-peat. Don’t get it twisted, we’re doing it. Three times. First time in NFL history, we’re doing it,” on February 14, 2024. But while moving forward, Clark Hunt’s quarterback has also responded to crucial questions after the championship victory. Wanna know what he said about Josh Allen? Let’s know about it.

After the victorious night and championship ring, Patrick Mahomes talked about God, his teammates, and his opponent Josh Allen. When CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson asked Patrick Mahomes about getting an opportunity to reach the SB back to back-to-back, he said, “I mean first off, I want to give all glory to God, without him none of this is possible and I truly mean that.” But then he talked about Josh Allen also.
Mahomes said, “I have so much respect for Josh, man. Just a true competitor, a true warrior, a great football player and they always come down to the wire. Luckily we were on the winning side this time.” This is the 2nd time Mahomes has defeated Allen in the championship. Josh Allen made history as the first QB to lose to the same opponent four times in a row in the league. His record against Mahomes has become 0-4 now.
