Does Clark Hunt's philanthropy make him the best owner in the NFL today?

The Kansas City Chiefs are having one of the best times in their history. The players are winning trophies on the field, while the owners are focused on doing their best for the community. Their efforts are also getting noticed. The billionaire Chiefs’ owner, Clark Hunt, won one of the most prestigious H. Neil Mallon Awards. Fans were happy about the achievement.

Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt, shared this great positive news with the fans with photos from the ceremony on Instagram. Praising her husband for his dedication to serving the people, she aptly captioned it that read, “Your leadership, global impact, and unwavering dedication to service continue to inspire us, and I couldn’t be prouder of you.” That’s sweet. But her husband wasn’t the only person she praised.

The award was presented to Clark Hunt by the Emmy-winning sports announcer Mike Tirico, who served as the emcee for the presentation ceremony. With a Chiefs’ helmet in the background, both had a lovely time during the event on October 22 at the Fairmont Hotel in Fort Worth, Dallas. It’s a celebration time for the Chiefs’ owner. Under him, they have emerged as a philanthropic force.

Hunt has put efforts into helping the community. He has often donated the amount generated from the Chiefs Charity Game to various charities, such as a Kansas City-based youth and family advocacy foundation, in 2017. That same year, the Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation were a finalist for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Sports Award.

Adding the H. Neil Mallon Award adds to their achievements. It is a testament to their commitment to improving the lives of people.

Clark Hunt joined the list of exemplary recipients

The prestigious award was started in 1983, and Lorinne Emery was the first recipient. Awarded annually, the Chiefs’ owner followed in the footsteps of Dirk Nowitzki, the 34th recipient in 2017. The NBA star has worked tirelessly to help the community in Dallas/Fort Worth. Even after retiring from basketball, he has been involved in philanthropic works. And his area of work has been expanding.

When he played in the NBA, Nowitzki established the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation, which organizes an annual charity exhibition tennis match. He has also fed more than 1300 Dallas families over the years. The Chiefdom is elated with Clark Hunt, also featuring on the same list now. While he keeps an eye on the football side of things at the Chiefs, he makes sure that his community is also living a good life.

That’s the thing about the sports. While the league inspires millions of kids across the nation to pick up sports, it also provides opportunities to those who are struggling. On the one hand, sports divides the people in the name of fan bases, but on the other hand, it unites them to help each other during tough times.
