As the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing themselves for Week 11 of the regular season, their HC is in for a surprise. He is widely regarded as one of the best Head Coaches in football, but a new list has disproved this. The Chiefs are coming out of a bye week and are going to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 20. Will this new shocker push Andy Reid to do even better?

The same Andy Reid had been the head coach for the Eagles for 13 years before he made the switch to the Chiefs in 2013. Now as he prepares to take on his former team, can he live up to the “Coach of the Year” mantle?

Joe Schad, a writer for the Palm Beach Post took to X to share a list of top 4 coaches who are the current favorites for the “Coach of the Year” Award. They are Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions, Mike McDaniel of the Miami Dolphins, DeMeco Ryans of the Houston Texans, and Robert Saleh of the New York Jets.

Dan Campbell is aggressive in all the right ways, and his players love to fight for him on the gridiron field. Under him, the Lions are 7-2, and at the top of the NFC North division. He has been HC for 4 years and has a 0.445 record. Mike McDaniel has the look of an IT specialist but is one of the coolest coaches in the league. He has been HC of the Dolphins for 2 years and has a 0.577 record with 15 wins and 11 losses.

DeMeco Ryans has been HC only for a year and already has a winning record. Of the 9 games that he has been with the Texans, he has won 5 of them. Of the list, Robert Saleh has the worst record at 0.349. This year also might end up a losing one for him. The Jets’ prospects dashed when Aaron Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury. How does Andy Reid compare to these stalwarts?

Andy has the best record of all 4 coaches

Andy Reid surpasses all these coaches with his record of .644. And after he joined the Chiefs, his record is even better at 0.725! With Patrick Mahomes as his QB, the duo looks a lot like the Bill Belichick- Tom Brady combination. But while Belichick is a defensive mastermind, Reid is an offensive genius.

In the last three years, the Chiefs led by Reid have won two Super Bowl Championships. And now already going on 66, Reid still has a few years to go before he walks off into the sunset. Will he manage to surpass even Belichick as the “most successful football coach” or is that just a pipe dream? With Belichick watching over a dynasty in shambles, it seems that Reid might have a fair chance at the objective.
