Not everyone is happy with the billionaire singer-songwriter being at the Kansas City Chiefs games. Skip Bayless, who is known for his hot takes on his popular show, Undisputed, recently attributed the Chiefs’ misfortunes to the grammy-winning singer. In the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Taylor Swift was spotted wearing a Santa hat with her beau, Travis Kelce’s number on it. But soon, she and the entire home crowd turned miserable as the Chiefs lost the game 20-14.

This is now the Chiefs’ third loss with Taylor in attendance. So, is the media coverage of the two lovebirds and her presence in the stadium, too distracting for Kelce?

In his show, Bayless said Taylor Swift who was “cheering for her man” is now “starting to distract the Chiefs.” After his claim, he followed up on X with a post mocking the Chiefs squad and directly asked Patrick Mahomes, Travis, and head coach Andy Reid, if, “it’s about time to call Taylor Swift a distraction”?

After the game, Reid could be seen side-bumping Kelce as he tried to drive home the point that the reigning Super Bowl Champions should have played better. On the sidelines, Kelce showed his frustration at the loss as well, by forcefully throwing the helmet into the ground. Travis has seen a slump in his performance of late, as he has not recorded a single touchdown in the last five games.

Bayless is a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and when in 2009, the Cowboys were having a terrible season due to several factors, he pinned the blame on one person. And that person was not even a coach or a player. Jessica Simpson found herself in the crosshairs of Bayless when she was dating the Cowboys’ quarterback, Tony Romo at the time. Like Swift, Simpson also made it a point to attend as many of her boyfriend’s games as she could.

As it happened, when the couple broke up, Romo’s performance on the gridiron took a 180 and he started to shine. Bayless said Simpson “was affecting his ability to focus and dedicate himself to playing quarterback” But to his credit, he also said that the Chiefs are not a foregone conclusion and when they meet the Cincinnati Bengals next week, he was going to place his bets on the Chiefs.

Bayless’ comments better not find their way to Swifties, who will not spare him for his remarks against their idol.
