This year, the Los Angeles wildfires are devastating. Having started last Tuesday, the fires show no sign of slowing down. With smoke thickening the skies and flames ravaging parts of the city, these fires have already claimed the lives of sixteen people. Thirteen people are still missing and over 12,000 structures across LA County have been destroyed. Fox reporters Erin Andrews and Kevin Burkhardt offered some much-needed relief.
Burkhardt recently took to his official Instagram handle and shared the latest news of him and Andrews partnering with the Red Cross to help and support those in need due to the fires. As fans were praising both reporters, one well-known one chimed in with a comment that was as simple as it was meaningful. Yes, you guessed that right. Charissa Thompson has a three-word message for Andrews and Burkhardt’s initiative, “Love you guys!.”

That’s all it took for Thompson to show a gesture of support. Amidst the life-threatening wildfires, Thompson and Andrews are behind the screen covering the wild-card round games of the league. Yet in the midst of it, Erin and Kevin decided to step up and offer the support that affected people require right now.
“Please join @erinandrews and I as we partner with @americanredcross to help support those in need from the CA Wildfires,” Burkhardt captioned his Instagram post. “As a thank you, one donor will win a game experience for the 2025 season with us.” The humanitarian organization is well known for providing emergency assistance and disaster relief to the affected.
With prayers, support, and goodwill earned from helping the unfortunate in LA on offer, what else one can ask for? The answer is to win a game experience from two of the best Fox reporters. Isn’t that great?

Erin Andrews and Kevin Burkhardt’s wildfire initiatives
During the time being, six simultaneous fires are spreading across the Los Angeles County and have pretty much created havoc across the country. As the officials have reported, the Palisades fires have covered an additional 1,000 acres and destroyed more homes and structures. That said, Andrews’ and Burkhardt’s initiative caught everyone’s attention.
“We’re starting wild card weekend, but we both are residents of Los Angeles California,” Andrews said in a post with Kevin. “And let’s be honest, it’s been an absolutely horrific week. So we got to talking, what can we do, what can we do to give back? We’re actually working with the Red Cross.” As the wildfires rage on and the devastation continues, the Red Cross is one of the humanitarian organizations that’s doing an amazing job.

“Yeah, we’re really lucky to do that,” Kevin continued. “And we hope that you will donate with us because we just were so sad. For those in need, the Red Cross does an amzing job, and if you donate even $10, you’ll have an opportunity to experience a game day behind that scenes with us next year.”
Amidst the hard times in LA, it’s clear that the need for support is bigger than just a headline. Erin Andrews and Kevin Burkhardt’s initiative is a reminder that when we can’t control the chaos unfolding, we can all pitch in where we can. Whether it’s donating a little or simply spreading the word, every bit counts.
