The Chargers lost to the Broncos by 7-24 in the NFL week 14 game, which was a must-win for either side to keep their playoff hopes alive. But that wasn’t even the most concerning news at the Chargers camp. It came from the locker room involving quarterback Justin Herbert.

The Chargers’ QB has headed toward the locker room after a finger injury during the second quarter, something that was later confirmed as a fracture by the head coach. The team replaced Herbert with backup Easton Stick, but he couldn’t change the fate of the home side atop their poor offensive run in the league.

The QB and the franchise altogether haven’t had a great offensive display in the season, something that reflected in their latest game as well. The Wilson-led Broncos defeated the home side 24-7, and Herbert couldn’t even see all of it. He was out with 9-17 for 96 yards with more interceptions to show for than touchdowns. While 28-year-old backup QB Easton Stick did his best with the limited time he had at 13-24 for 179 yards, it was nearly not enough.
