Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has always been the person who, time and again, has been under the spotlight for his controversial takes. He ignited another new controversy during his appearance at the pre-game show at the AT&T stadium before the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight.

Jones shared his excitement about Netflix becoming a huge part of the NFL and in return helping the game reach a much broader audience. The 82-year-old Cowboys GM went on to say that initially when he was planning about this stadium he could have built a smaller one just for the Cowboys fans. Jones added, “I knew that people would probably be watching this thing all over the United States… And this stadium is honored to have these.”

Well Jerry we understand that you built the AT&T stadium for the value of creating something that could represent and engage to a much wider audience. And yes from his comments it’s quite clear that he takes pride in hosting such main events at the Cowboys’ stadium. But let’s cut to the chase, what about your team’s players and loyal fans? You can pull the curtains for the fight between Tyson and Paul but couldn’t do it for the Cowboys’ game against Eagles when CeeDee Lamb dropped a catch after being blind-sighted by the sun? Jerry Jones reasoned for not blocking the sun by saying, “That stadium was built to feel like you’re outdoors… It has over three million cubic feet of air-conditioned space.”

Since seeing the curtains pulled during Friday night’s event at the AT&T stadium, fans are pretty angry over the owner’s hypocritical behavior. However, as we stand on another match day at the Cowboys’ home ground, it needs to be seen if Jones has found some solution for his team or if will they face the same problems again.
