Nick Sirianni is just 43 years old. However, he has been coaching for the last 20 years. From 2009, he has been a coach in the NFL. Hence, the coach knows a story or two about many players. One of his favorite stories has been about the player-turned-commentator, Pat McAfee. It’s interesting! Now, the former Colts punter has come out with his version of the story.
The ex-NFLer recently appeared on the New Heights podcast where Jason Kelce asked him if the story was true or not. McAfee shed light on the story and said, “Okay, I was certainly found rather intoxicated very early in the morning, shirtless and wet late in October. It was a cold morning and in the police report, they pieced together that I had probably been swimming in a canal nearby.” Travis Kelce was also present and all three burst out laughing upon hearing this. But wait, there’s more.
Pat McAfee later claimed that he was fined $140 and even had to do some community service after the incident. But saving his reputation, the punter added, “I still haven’t got it clear that we don’t know if I was in a canal, and by we, I mean the police or me.” Well, Mr. Boomstick, that’s plenty of storytelling for the fans who are divided over if it happened. But Nick Sirianni certainly believes that.

He often tells this story to the players before the players go out to enjoy the off-season. That’s his warning tale to tell everyone to not go too crazy. When Pat McAfee was arrested, he had a 0.15 BAC. The Colts suspended him for one game following this incident.
Letting bygones be bygones, Sirianni is now working as the head coach of the Eagles. Let’s check what’s going on there.
Nick Sirianni mocked by Pat McAfee after week 6 antics
When the season started, the Eagles coach was on the hot seat. He still is. Particularly after antics during week 6. The team came into the week 6 game against the Browns after a bye week. However, their 20-16 win was overshadowed by coach Nick Sirianni mocking the fans by pointing his finger at fans, signaling, “I can’t hear you.”

Pat McAfee used this opportunity to have fun on The Pat McAfee Show where he had an actor dressed like the coach. The actor even had a cloth tied on his head to mimic the coach’s bald haircut. Well, the former punter and the actor had a funny conversation with the latter saying hilarious things. The reality was different.

Many fans were angry about his actions. But his players supported him. Safety Sydney Brown and LB Nakobe Dean called him passionate about the game. Nick Sirianni knows there is only one thing that can fortify his position at the franchise. A Super Bowl win!
The Iggles missed it in 2022 when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, there is still hope. They have qualified for the playoffs each season since Sirianni has taken over. However, a Lombardi Trophy this season requires focus on his part.
