Carson Wentz has found his new home in the Red Army. Reportedly, after agreeing to a year-long contract, the quarterback will be packing his bags and moving to the Kansas City Chiefs as a backup QB for the Super Bowl MVP, Patrick Mahomes. While the shift is a crucial step in Wentz’s life, having played for a couple of teams, the Chiefs have also secured a strong deal with such an experienced backup quarterback in their franchise.
Wentz has played with multiple teams since 2016, also experiencing his 2017 Super Bowl win with the Eagles underway. During this time only, the athlete also committed his forever to his now wife, Madison Wentz. “Maddie” Oberg, who is his biggest cheerleader, has always supported the professional through thick and thin. While not much is known about Madison Oberg, it is evident that she shares a passion for activism. The proof of the same is the AO1 Foundation established by Oberg and her husband Carson Wentz. Its mission statement is “Uplifting individuals and communities around the world by demonstrating God’s love for his people. ” Numerous sources claim that Oberg is a native of Kentucky and has been a part of the Mobilization Hospitality Team in Haiti.
Even though the exact dating timeline of Madison and Carson is not known, the duo bonded over their mutual passion for charitable work. Wentz’s trip to Haiti in May 2017 for a mission aligned with Oberg’s previous internship there. Their relationship started to surface publicly in November 2017, as Wentz started a Thanksgiving photo featuring Oberg on his Instagram.
After Wentz underwent ACL surgery, he expressed his appreciation for Oberg’s unwavering support, emphasizing her crucial role in his recovery journey. He stated, “The Lord truly blessed me with this beautiful young lady to walk by my side and support me through all of this!” This was the time he was playing for the Eagles. Eventually, their relationship took a significant step forward when, just days after the Eagles Super Bowl win in 2017, Wentz proposed to Oberg.

The joyous occasion was shared by the football professional on his social media handle. He wrote, “She said YES! And now Maddie and I both got us a ring. Can’t wait to marry my best friend! God is doing some amazing things and I can’t thank him enough!” The couple tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in July 2018, prior to the Eagles’ training camp, showcasing their commitment to each other.
Their family expanded with the arrival of their daughters, Hadley Jayne in 2020, Hudson Rose in 2021, and Hayes Emersyn in 2023, bringing new joys and responsibilities into their lives. Wentz has also credited Oberg for her note-worthy ability to balance family life with his demanding football career, acknowledging her as the driving force behind their family’s day-to-day operations.
Concerning the first pregnancy, the dad of three had revealed to the Athletic, “It’s a calling and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly.” Since then, the veteran football player has supported his wife as the two build beautiful life for themselves. However, away from parenthood, the couple also share sheer dedication for each other. The evidence of the same is that Wentz and Oberg share a symbolic gesture to denote the eternity of their love and bond.
