The week 7 game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Cardinals had a pleasant surprise for the former. Even though the game was played at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, it didn’t look like an away game. Jim Harbaugh‘s team got enough support from the crowd. There was a sea of people dressed in blue for the matchup.
Announcer Chris Fowler noted, “This doesn’t feel like a Cardinals home game. There are so many folks in blue here.” This was pretty embarrassing for the Cardinals, as it looked like the Chargers were playing at their home instead. Both teams have been struggling in the 2024 season.

The Cardinals have been struggling in the season so far with a 2-4 win-loss record. Though Kyler Murray has given his best, the results haven’t improved for them. In 6 games, the quarterback has 116 of 170 yards with 1,186 passing yards and 8 touchdowns. His rushing game has also been on point with 30 attempts in 261 yards and 1 touchdown.
Things have been more in balance for the Los Angeles Chargers. As expected, Justin Herbert has started all 5 games for the Chargers. And he has done quite well. In 5 games, the quarterback has 80 of 125 passes with 815 passing yards and 1 touchdown. He has led them to a 3-2 win-loss record so far. They are currently at the 2nd place in their division, only behind Patrick Mahomes‘ led Chiefs. Hence, whoever wins this game will increase their playoff chances.
Amid the desire to take their team to the next win, let’s check out which of both teams came out on top.
