During his summer visit to the 33x Bundesliga Champions FC Bayern Munich, the NFL star Lamar Jackson gave Canadian left-back Alphonso Davies a crash course on how to play as a quarterback. It seems that playing as a quarterback is a difficult task, even for elite athletes.
The 27-year-old NFL MVP was at the Bayern Munich campus in Germany’s capital during this summer. NFL recently shared a video from Jackson’s summer trip on their social media handles. In the video, the Ravens’ QB explained, or at least tried to, the American football plays to Bayern’s no. 19.
However, Davies didn’t understand a thing, as it was all foreign to him. Jackson was then heard saying, “See, it sounds like a foreign language when I’m speaking”, the 24-year-old soccer star jokingly played along but he soon caved in. While shaking his head, Davies hilariously pointed out, “I don’t understand what this guy’s saying”. Following this, both athletes shared a good laugh.

The Bayern defender was also seen wearing Jacksons’ Ravens uniform and shoulder pads and tried out as a wide receiver, catching long throws from the star quarterbacks. After a quick throw and catch session, Jackson tried his skills at soccer with Davies. During his time at the Bayern Munich’s campus, the Ravens’ QB also meant the German club’s female team. After that, he also had lunch with Davies and German right-back Giulia Gwinn.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has denied rumors of being mad at the referees and exchanging words during his team’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. During the game on Sunday, the 27-year-old was heard yelling, “Stop cheating us, bro!” late in the fourth quarter of the game. Many believe Jackson was yelling at one of the officials after his team was penalized 13 times during the game, whereas the Cowboys were just penalized 6 times.

And on Wednesday, Jackson faced questions about his yelling. To this, he simply replied that he wasn’t angry with the officials. Jackson said he was more disappointed in himself and his team than the official. The 2023 NFL MVP said, “I wasn’t mad at the refs. The refs are going to do their job — they’re doing their job. Whatever they see, they’re going to call it. They only have two eyes. They can’t see everything.”
Irrespective of whether it was a misunderstanding or an intentional rant at the referee, one fact is true and that is John Harbaugh’s men put up an exceptional performance, thrashing the Cowboys 28-25 at the AT&T stadium and registering their first win of 2024 season. Jackson in particular played the QB’s role perfectly, going 12-for-15 with 182 yards and a touchdown, while he also carried the ball 14 times for 87 yards and a score.
