Jordan Malita expressed the fact that rugby players are huge, but stressed that they need to be extremely agile as well. However, when it comes to injuries, Malita, who has represented a team in the rugby league, feels that the NFL is far safer.
‘I don’t think you are wrong. I think a lot of players from Rugby have made a successful transition. It is a tough sport. NFL players do play Rugby, which is a lot about endurance and technique. A lot of players do get confused when it comes to differences. It is a tough sport, and you do need to conserve your energy. Rugby is all about hits, and it’s all about running through everybody,‘ Jordan Malita said during the New Heights Podcast.

In addition, Malita also said that the NFL is a tougher league, as it lasts for close to five months and the players are expected to keep themselves fit and healthy for longer time periods.

Rugby vs NFL – The Difference
Both sports have been played for years, yet the fans at times find themselves confused when it comes to differentiating between the two. While rugby is a sport in which the players have to be constantly on the run for close to 80 minutes divided into two halves, the NFL game lasts for three hours but is divided into four quarters. Also, the playing field for rugby is much bigger than what’s used in the NFL.

There have been some rugby players who have successfully transitioned into the NFL and vice versa. The one thing that’s common between the two of them is that both are demanding sports, both in terms of physical and mental capacities, and challenge the player on a consistent basis.
