In his 24 seasons of coaching in the NFL, Bill Belichick was one of the most polarizing personalities in the league and even after leaving football, he’s still managed to cause some stir in the hearts and minds of football fans. The 72-year-old ex-head coach recently got in a relationship with a 24-year-old cheerleader Jordon Hudson and nobody knew what to make of it.

Cam Newton, the former Carolina Panther QB was a bit apprehensive of their relationship. Okay, “bit” is an understatement. He was very apprehensive of Belichick’s newfound love and thought that the 8x Super Bowl winning coach is being “played.” Newton made some interesting remarks about Belichick’s relationship on his show 4 and 1 with Cam Newton.

“Jordon, stop your shit,” exclaimed Newton and added, “It’s nothing about Bill Belichick that you really like outside of his resumé.” Per Newton, Hudson’s family, social circle, and her peers might be actively advising her against pursuing this relationship. But there’s another reason why Newton thinks that this relationship is a bad idea for the New England Patriots ex-head coach.

While Newton thinks that Hudson has some ulterior motive behind courting Belichick, the co-host gives the ex-NFL coach the benefit of doubt dubbing him the “Player from the Himalaya.” But for the veteran quarterback, being cunning goes both ways, and Belichick might not be the only player in this age gap dynamic.

“But that don’t mean Jordon can’t be a player too,” the ex-QB said and added, “You’re talking about Bill Belichick a ‘player from the Himalaya,’ but you must have not understood what Coi Leray said, ‘cuz girls is players too,” later exclaiming that Jordon Hudson might be “playing chess.”

But while Hudson is being labelled a “gold digger with an old pedophile” by internet trolls, and one of the commenters came to the rescue saying that she’s a “legal adult” and is perfectly capable of making that decision. Hudson liked the comment, making it seem like there’s more to Belichick-Hudson saga than what meets the eye.

But how did all this even start? How did Belichick go from being fired from the New England Patriots to dating a woman with 3x age gap?

Bill Belichick impressed Jordon Hudson with “philosophy”

It all started in 2021 when Belichick and Hudson met on a flight from Boston to Florida. Somewhere down the line, they forged their relationship over “philosophy,” a discipline in which Jordon Hudson, the cheerleader, did her bachelors from the University of Massachusetts. Belichick autographed her textbook and thus began a spark in their bond.

In her textbook titled “Deductive Logic”, the ex-NFL coach wrote, “Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!” However, in January 2023, the rumors about their romance took over the world like a wildfire as the couple was spotted in public twice. Things took a turn in September 2023 when Belichick confirmed that he had a falling out with her long-term girlfriend Linda Holliday.

Belichick’s been getting attention from all over the sports sphere for a long time. With people like Travis Kelce calling Belichick a “smooth operator.” The couple hasn’t made any official statements as of yet and from what it looks like, it’s going to stay that way for a long time in the future. Can’t blame Belichick for trying to keep his personal life private.
