Records are meant to be broken. But that Odell Beckham Jr.‘s 2014 record? Yeah, never in a million years we thought it would be broken. That, too, by the receiver in a bruised offense. The Giants WR Malik Nabers set the NFL record with 75 catches through 10 games, overtaking Odell’s 71 back in the day. However, this is far from the reason for the Dolfans outcries.

See, the thing is, your record being broken is part and parcel of the game… But you dropping stinkers on the gridiron–fans will become brutal after a period of patience. Guess what? Odell Beckham Jr has not even reached double figures in receptions.

No, we aren’t kidding. He has 8 catches for 50 YDs this season (in 8 games). Yikes!

You see, Miami has not seen much from the former Pro Bowl wide receiver and Super Bowl champion since he joined their ranks. That’s been a concern for them, and understandably so. OBJ is not OBJing like he used to.

While Malik is shattering records with the Big Blue (where OBJ once reigned), Odell’s putting up numbers that make fantasy managers cringe. Miami brought him in on a one-year deal from Baltimore, and so far? Let’s just say the honeymoon is over.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Odell Beckham Jr. done, or can he still prove the critics wrong this season?

Have an interesting take?

I mean, fans are not asking much from him… They are just looking after him, asking him to leave football before it leaves him. Now, add that to the Phins stuck with a 5 and 7 record that’s saying, “Playoff’s slippin’ away…” So, the frustration is the natural reaction.

Fans have retirement advice for Odell Beckham Jr.

You want an Odell Beckham Jr. highlight reel from the week 13’s 30-17 loss to Green Bay? Yeah, good luck with that. OBJ had one catch for nine yards on two targets. That’s all… His game in a nutshell. We understand Miami didn’t sign the 32-year-old OBJ expecting him to light up the scoreboard like it’s 2014—they just need him to contribute.

But even when that’s missing, you’d expect growing impatience in the fandom. One fan summed it up perfectly: “It’s not 2014 anymore. Give it up.” Harsh? Maybe. But when your production doesn’t match the paycheck, the critics tend to get loud.

OBJ’s struggles haven’t come out of nowhere. Injuries have been a constant shadow in his career, and now, he’s a shadow of his past. So, one fan didn’t hold back: “He needs to hang it up 😭.” It’s not just the injuries or the limited role in Miami’s offense, either.

Let’s be real—OBJ is playing behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, two of the NFL’s elite receivers. Still, when you’re only hauling in 8 catches for 50 yards over 8 games, fans start questioning if there’s anything left in the tank. Another fan didn’t mince words: “Hang it up, you’re cooked. That eclipse ruined you.” Ouch.

While OBJ has made efforts to stay relevant, like turning his Rams salary into Bitcoin (which didn’t age well), his on-field performance has been a far cry from his Pro Bowl days. One fan summed it up bluntly: “His career is already finished. He’s just looking for whatever paycheck he can grab before retiring.” Whether OBJ can silence the doubters is anyone’s guess. But for now, even his loyalists are wondering if it’s time for #3 to hang up his cleats.
