Is Nick Sirianni alright? A lot of people don’t think he is. The Philadelphia Eagles struggled against the Jacksonville Jaguars but won 28-23 at the end. A lot of people think that the Eagles head coach hates Jake Elliott and would rather go for extra points than take easy field goals. Is Sirianni and Jake Elliott’s relationship fractured?
People were mad at Nick Sirianni in earlier games because of his questionable decisions, but this game was something else. Apparently, the head coach’s play calls were flawed, and the Eagles left 9 points on the field. Sirianni didn’t want his team to take two field goals for two points and left three more on the field.
How can the Philadelphia Eagles blow up a 22-point lead? Let’s ignore the fact that Jacksonville scored a fumble return touchdown. What transpired after that might entirely be on Sirianni. The Eagles still had a 6-point lead after Trevor Lawrence and Travon Walker’s touchdown. But Sirianni deciding to go for in on 4 and inches rather than kicking the field goal was what became a problem.

Up six, the Philly team chose to go for it on a 4 and short and Jalen Hurts had to throw the ball away because he was pressured by the Jags defense. All in all, the Eagles missed three, two-point conversions, and passed on 32 and 49-yard FGs. It was their defense that held the Jaguars at bay in the last moments of the game.
Eagles’ fans are salty right now and at one point, the stadium was echoing with boos. That sentiment has found its way on social media.
