What’s the deal with the kickers this season, man? There weren’t so many missed field goals last season. What’s happened all of a sudden? Jake Elliott was one of the most reliable guys when it came to scoring points last season. Heck, the Eagles wouldn’t have come as far as they did last season, if it weren’t for their kicker. The tush-push play was washed out really quickly.
Elliott is having a bad season and the game against the Commanders has made it even worse. Philly fans are emotional and the kicker missing two field goals has brought out the worse in them. The former Pro Bowl kicker has had no problems missing FGs within 40-yard range, but this time, he did.
He missed the first FG for the day from 44-yards in the Eagles opening drive, which was surprising. The weather isn’t even that bad. What’s the excuse here? The Eagles could have been 9-7 by the half time, but here we are, longing for a better scoreboard. The second field goal he missed was a 51-yard kick, that he sent flying wide right.

The Eagles kicker has missed all four of his kicks beyond 50 yards this season and the fans want him fired. That’s just putting it politely. If the Eagles lose against the Commanders, Elliott is going to get a lot of flak.
Stay tuned for more updates.
