The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up their 2024 NFL season in the most unpredictable way possible. They lost the playoff spot to the team that had lost a franchise-record 10 straight games. Does it ring a bell? Yep, we’re talking about the week 17 game between the Colts and the New York Giants. The Indianapolis team allowed 45 points to a team averaging 14.3 points per game. No doubt, the Colts need a serious roster update for the following season, and Peyton Manning can be the answer—tongue-in-cheek, of course.
At this point, it looks like the Colts are soon gonna get their Deputy Sheriff. The reason? Well, the Indianapolis Colts recently hit up their official ‘X’ handle and posted a clip from the Pro Bowl. Nah, they didn’t post a clip of Quenton Nelson or Jonathan Taylor. They skipped all that and dropped a clip of Peyton Manning’s son instead.

Yep, you read that right. Manning’s son, Marshall Manning recently stunned everyone as he threw dimes during the Pro Bowl games connecting it with the Cincinnati Bengals‘ wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Spoiler alert: he’s just 13 years old. Looks like the Colts are eyeing a future quarterback—at least that’s what the fans are believing.
And it’s not the first time that we’ve seen Marshall throwing during the Pro Bowl festivities. Remember the 2023 Pro Bowl games? Yeah, when Peyton Manning was the head coach of the AFC squad in the Pro Bowl games that season. Marshall showed off his strong arm as he completed a throw to the former Colts tight end and Peyton’s ex-teammate, Marcus Pollard.
That said, the Manning Football Dynasty is about to get another quarterback in the league and the Colts must be eyeing for the first overall pick in the coming years. However, the job isn’t as pretty as it seems. Ever since the Indianapolis team posted Marshall’s clip, the fans have been calling them out to start the Tanking process.

Ahead of the off-season, the Colts fans have already found their latest quarterback obsession. Spoiler alert: he’s just a kid. Marshall’s throws stunned almost everyone, there’s no denying that. But now, Colts fans (and haters) are jokingly—or maybe not-so-jokingly—calling for the team to tank multiple seasons just to snag Marshall in the draft when he’s eligible.
One fan summed up the chaos perfectly as he stated, “Don’t let Colts fans c (see) this. “OMG, Peyton Mannings, son. Let’s tank 2025 season so we can draft his son!” Smh idiot a** fan base we have.” Ouch! It’s giving a bit of frustrated vibes because, of course, Marshall’s probably got years before the college ball. But wait, it gets better. The “tanking” talk didn’t stop there.
A couple of fans jumped on the bandwagon with comments like, “Start the tanking process NOW,” and even more extreme takes like, “Tank for 15 years I don’t care.” That’s dedication—or maybe just Colts fans feeling the burn from recent season. Well, here’s a fan who kept things pretty simple. “Tank for Marshall.” Short and sweet, right?

Meanwhile, there’s someone who showed up looking like they did their homework. “Draft Arch next year and then in when Marshall finishes college we draft him too.” It appears the Colts fans aren’t stopping at Marshall. They’re looking for a completely new generation of the Manning family in the NFL. But perhaps the most straightforward (and colorful) comment came from a fan who said, “F**k it. Tank for Marshall.”
Well, it sounds pretty fun and a bit of mocking to the Colts but one thing’s for sure: Peyton Manning’s son has eyes on him already as a future quarterback for the Colts.
