Playoff football is in the air. And the games are keeping the fans on the edge of their seats. CBS announcer Jim Nantz completed 500 games in the Bills wild card game against the Broncos. Tony Romo assisted him in the TV booth. The AFC Divisional game between the Bills and Ravens was intense. The Bills mafia was over the moon, breaking tables and tailgating while the NFL legend Ryan Fitzpatrick took off his shirt to hype up the Highmark crowd.

Josh Allen & co. took a 21-10 lead over their rivals into halftime. But the Ravens flock was angry about a pass interference (DPI) penalty that played a part in that scoreline. In the 2nd quarter, the Bills quarterback passed a ball to his WR Keon Coleman. A former Bills player playing for the Ravens, DB Tre’Davious White, was in a contest with the receiver. But the referees gave a penalty. No contest. While most TV analysts disagreed with the call, CBS Announcer Tony Romo defended the decision.

It ended up giving a significant advantage, a two-possession lead to the Bills, who scored a TD on the drive to go up 21-10 at halftime. The CBS announcer must be happy. His love for Josh Allen is on another level. It’s not the first, second, or even third time that he has annoyed or amused viewers with his Allen obsession. In the Bills’ wildcard win against the Dolphins in 2023, he praised the quarterback all game and even gave him a new nickname, saying, “This is why Josh Allen is Mr January.”

So far this year, the Bills QB has done justice to his nickname. However, their game against Ravens was not without some intense battles. Close to the end of the 3rd quarter, a Derrick Henry TD saw the visitors close the lead to 2 points at 21-19. But only because they failed their 2-point attempt. But Tony Romo’s bias ruined the viewing experience for many Ravens fans. Some of them took to social media to vent. They called out his open glazing of Allen and the Bills in hilarious and frustrated ways.

Fans troll Tony Romo for his Josh Allen Bias

One fan was so angry that he used some choice words for the CBS announcer and wrote, “F— tony romo in every position.” Another gave very angry advice to the announcer by tweeting, “Tony Romo shut your b—- a– up.

Another member of the Ravens flock called out the entire network and advised everyone against watching it by writing, “I advise everyone to listen to @nfloncbs on mute. Tony Romo is a biased j—— the product is polluted.” However, the best dig came at a personal level for the CBS announcer that included Josh Allen’s fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld, that was, “I don’t even think Hailee Steinfeld loves Josh Allen as much as Tony Romo loves him #BALvsBUF”. That’s a wild shot there. As the game got away from the Ravens, another fan angrily wrote, “Hey @NFLonCBS Please get rid of Tony Romo – his commentary is unbearable and biased.

However, the CBS announcer had the last laugh as the Bills won the game 27-25. With it another chance for Tony Romo to court Josh Allen on national television. Will he continue his antics at the Arrowhead? It will be fun to watch (for the Bills mafia at least).
