Jerry Jones is at it again. After mutually parting ways with head coach Mike McCarthy, the Cowboys are also on the hunt for a new head coach. The decision to part ways with McCarthy threw everyone for a loop. Even the outspoken Jerry Jones hadn’t hinted at Mike’s departure. And firing him was clearly off the table. Jones had always backed Mike’s coaching. Dallas had also denied the Bears’ request to interview McCarthy. But here we are now, folks. The Cowboys are in the same boat as the Bears, both on the lookout for a new head coach.

And guess what? Jerry Jones has taken the task into his own hands. And he doesn’t need anyone’s help. “As per the NFL Network, Dallas #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is conducting the team’s head coaching search as a ‘SOLO MISSION. Jones has been making calls as he searches for his next head coach.” Jerry Jones’ move also made former QB Troy Aikman speak out against his old team.

Troy Aikman believes that the Cowboys have no real plan. You’d expect Aikman to have a bit of a soft spot for the team, considering he played with them for 12 seasons. But no, the former QB is not holding back anymore. It looks like Troy’s calling it like he sees it, no sugarcoating. “I thought Mike McCarthy would be the head coach, so this is a bit of a surprise for me today that he’s not going to be. What went into those conversations, I’m not really sure, but it suggests that there’s not a real plan,” said Aikman. Well, that’s what the fans have been saying all these years: ‘no plan.’

Aikman, showing support for Mike, added, I think Mike McCarthy is an outstanding football coach. He’s proven that in this league.” And fans agree. Mike, as a head coach, has been solid. He led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV victory, after all. So is Jerry Jones the real problem? Umm.. we are not going to say anything. But now, we’re all waiting to see who Jerry Jones will bring on board. Who’s going to be the one to team up with him after his solo search?

Fans voice their disappointment over Jerry Jones’ attitude

Now, how can netizens not have a say in this? The X is flooded with jokes and criticism aimed at the Cowboys owner. Everything he does is a ‘solo mission’,” commented a user. One user, humorously implying that at his age, Jones might not be making the best decisions, commented, Oh no geriatric Jones has gone rogue (laughing emoji).” Another frustrated fan wrote, So no different than any other time, shocking. I don’t know why anyone expects this team to be any different than the mediocre team it has been for the past 30 years.”

Some folks just thrive on drama. And it looks like Cowboys fans are soaking it all in right now. I speak for all cowboys fans when I say we love to hear this,” commented a user. Jerry Jones’ shenanigans are no shocker for Cowboys fans. Jerry Jones hasn’t exactly been the owner people hoped for. Even players have been frustrated with his antics at times. Remember when CeeDee Lamb asked for curtains at their home turf, AT&T Stadium? Jones just brushed it off with jokes. And let’s not forget the constant contract delays for coaches and players.

A user on X chimed in on the whole discussion, dropping a hilarious yet truth-bomb comment. Why doesn’t Jerry just coach the team? No better way to have full control over everything. He already does the post-game interviews.” Well, that’s Jerry Jones for you! And there’s nothing you can do about it.
