No matter what team wins or loses on Thursday Night Football, Al Michaels will always get slandered. The Cincinnati Bengals visited the M&T Bank Stadium to beat Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens. He said something in the game that people thought was a flat-out lie and won’t cut him any slack for spreading “misinformation.” That too about Andrews.
Coincidentally, the Ravens TE suffered a serious left ankle injury in the week 11 game against the Cincinnati Bengals in the last season. It was a tackle, but what Al Michaels said was something way off the mark. The injury made Mark Andrews miss a couple of games. But he eventually returned to play against the Chiefs in the AFC title match.
The initial prognosis of Andrews’s injury was that it happened due to a hip drop tackle. That happened when he was tackled by the LB Logan Wilson, the Bengals LB. Andrews had to undergo surgery to fix his fractured fibula and ligament damage. The tackle happened when Andrews headed for the first down with just 11 minutes remaining on the clock. Though the TE was injured, the Ravens still won that game 34-20.

After the tackle, Andrews got up in agony. Spectators saw him walking gingerly off the field. While people thought Andrews wouldn’t return for the season, he got back on the field way ahead of time. He played the AFC Divisional playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens lost that game 17-10.
While countless sources suggest that the injury happened due to a hip drop tackle, a lot of fans think otherwise. We’ll talk about that in a minute. After the injury, Andrews spoke to the media, saying, “Taking that tackle out of the game is not a bad thing,” and that “I think defenses can find a way to get around that.”
