Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears are beating Dan Quinn’s Washington Commanders, according to a former Eagles defensive end despite QB Jayden Daniels’s impressive record in the 2023 season.

Daniels threw for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and just four interceptions, completing 72.2% of his passes. He had a successful two seasons with the Tigers, posting a good record after starting his career at Arizona State under coach Herm Edwards. Despite his decent stats, Chris Long believes that the Bears & Williams have the edge over the Commanders.

Chris Long weighs in on Caleb and the Bears

In the “Green Light with Chris Long podcast, Long said, I think they beat the Commanders. I don’t think Commanders are going to be as good as people think. He added, “I think they are going to lose to Cardinals.”

In addition to Chris, Craig Carton expressed his views on Caleb Williams during Friday’s edition of “The Carton Show.” Carton confidently predicted that Williams, the first overall pick in this year’s draft by the Chicago Bears, would help end the team’s drought next season.

He said, “I think if you put Bryce Young on the left side of the spectrum, and you put C.J. Stroud on the right side of the spectrum based on last year and their rookie seasons, I believe that Caleb Williams is going to be much farther to the right on the C.J. Stroud side of the docket than the Bryce Young side.” He even suggested that Williams has the potential to throw for 4,000 yards, thanks to the weapons the Bears have provided him.

Caleb is already determined to make the most of every second and meet the high expectations placed on him by himself and others. The Bears have created a comprehensive strategy for developing their new franchise quarterback.

Bears’ detailed development plan for Caleb Williams

General manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus dedicate themselves to ensuring Williams reaches his maximum potential.

The developmental journey for Williams unfolds in strategic phases. Initially, during the offseason program, the coaching staff laid the groundwork for his growth. This encompasses refining fundamental skills and immersing him in the team’s playbook. Subsequently, the focus shifts to the summer break, where Williams continues to fine-tune his abilities.

As the season approaches, the intensity heightens in training camp. Under the watchful eyes of quarterback coach Joseph and passing game coordinator Thomas Brown, Williams engages in daily routines tailored to sharpen his skills. Simultaneously, offensive coordinator Shane Waldron assumes a pivotal role in Williams’ development.

“For me, the things we’re pouring into him right now is just the understanding of the big picture of the game and all the intricacies and the nuances of, first of all, between college and the NFL and being able to start with that ground floor approach and build that repertoire of his up as we’re going, Waldron said.

With Caleb’s talent, dedication, and the support of his team, he is set to make a significant impact and lead the Bears to new heights.
