An unexpected NFL crossover was spotted in the Land of the Rising Sun! Micah Parsons and C.J. Stroud made a stop in Tokyo as a part of the 2024 Asia Tour, to promote NFL and education opportunities to high school and college students. But this time, the duo didn’t have a football in their hands but were seen taking a go at baseball!

The Cowboys linebacker and Texans‘ quarterback recently appeared on the B/R NFL Draft Live Show with impeccable chemistry as they discussed the 2024 draft picks. The Tokyo Dome got a football cameo as the crowd gathered for the Yomiuri Giants’ game vs. the Hanshin Tigers. Baseball is the most popular spectator sport in Japan, so naturally, Stroud and Parsons took a break from their football camps. While the Houston quarterback threw a firm ceremonial pitch, Parsons barely made the ball across the plate.

Parsons might have slipped up in his pitching attempt here, but the QB hit the most home runs during the Cowboys charity event back in 2022. The 2021 draft pick helped raise $81,000 at the Reliant Home Run Derby in Frisco. He harnessed his experience with the sport from his high school years and delivered a performance that made QB Dak Prescott shower him with praises. “Whatever he did along his journey, it sure worked out,” he said, as per the team’s website.

Parson’s ceremonial pitches were reminiscent of the Dallas game and made the Asia tour way more interesting. Apart from baseball, there was another traditional Japanese sport that the NFL stars dipped their toes into, this one poles apart from football!

Stroud and Parsons tried Sumo wrestling in Tokyo, with the Dallas linebacker even going face-to-face with a professional wrestler. It didn’t come as a huge surprise when Parsons was soon out of the ring. Stroud didn’t leave the opportunity to tease his friend either and gestured, ‘Too small,’ which was repeated by the sumo wrestler as well!

But the linebacker made a 180-degree turn in round 2 with full force. After a few seconds of push and shove, he could move the wrestler out of the ring. To perfect his comeback in the unexplored territory, Parsons also responded with the ‘too small‘ gesture. He also celebrated the feat on social media, writing, “One thing you won’t do is disrespect the lion and think I’m not finna lock in!” The fans widely enjoyed the now-viral clip, as they witnessed their favorite star in a brand new avatar!
