Probably there is no sport that C.J. Stroud could not do! After dominating the NFL season as the rookie quarterback, C.J. Stroud is up to show his softball talent. The Houston Texans QB is gracing the celebrity softball game on Thursday, February 15 for a noble cause.

In the 2023 season, Stroud set some NFL rookie records, including 470 passing yards. Furthermore, he became the first rookie QB after Mac Jones to be nominated for the Pro Bowl, wherein he showed his impressive performance in the passing game. And now, the multi-talented QB is showing his stellar performance at Minute Maid Park.

C.J. Stroud joined a long list of celebrities and athletes for the 2024 Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic at Minute Maid Park, Houston. This program is aimed at helping students who face last-minute financial constraints at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, ensuring they can graduate on time with their classmates.

Ahead of the play, Stroud was seen playing catch with a softball with Jose Canseco, and he also appeared for an on-field interview. When asked if he has played baseball before, Stroud replied with “yeah, I have played,” baseball earlier, while appreciating Travis Scott and his foundation for organizing the event for a good cause.

Last year in November, Strout expressed his love for baseball, saying, “Basketball players wanna be football players and football players wanna be basketball players and we all wanna play baseball.” So, when asked about the reason behind his statement, Stroud playful replied, “Just because the guarantee money they make.

Furthermore, although he informed that he won’t be doing much in the game, a new video is telling a different story.

A couple of hours ahead of the game start, NFL’s offensive rookie QB C.J. Stroud was seen hitting every ball. The MLB’s official account shared the video on X, writing, “Stroud ripping homers ahead of Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Celebrity Softball Classic.”

During the game, Stroud is also “putting up numbers in the Home Run Derby,” showing his prowess in this game as well. Therefore, it’s safe to say that there is nothing that Stroud can’t do.

Besides Stroud, Andre Johnson, Damar Hamlin, and DeAndre Hopkins are also participating in the event.
