NFL beef isn’t just for game day anymore—players are out here beefing 24/7 on social media. The latest mess? 49ers‘ cornerback Deommodore Lenoir hopped on IG Live after hearing that Seahawks star DK Metcalf requested a trade, and man was heated. He begged Seattle not to trade Metcalf, called out another Seahawks receiver, and basically turned his Live into a full-on roast session. And, of course, the internet ate it up.
One person who definitely wasn’t feeling it? Eagles‘ safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Never one to stay quiet, he hit Twitter with a now-deleted tweet. “All they do over there is talk!!! Dude swear he like that 😂🤡”—basically calling Lenoir a walking microphone. And just like that, the ‘NFC West vs. literally everyone else’ drama got a new episode.
Now, let’s talk about DK Metcalf. Losing him would be wild for Seattle. The dude has been that guy for six seasons—438 catches, 6,324 yards, and 48 touchdowns. He’s been their rock, and now that he’s asking for a trade, the whole division is low-key panicking. Lenoir, for one, was not handling the news well.

“Y’all cannot let DK leave. Y’all can’t do that,” he said in his IG rant. Then he took a jab at Jaxon Smith-Njigba: “Najigba, he be crying all day. He cry. That’s all he do is cry. Ref, he holding, he holding ref. Oh no, don’t hurt me. Cry baby.” He even doubled down, saying, “I’m not worried about JSM. I’m not. He’d know that.”
#49ers Deommodore Lenoir went on IG Live after the DK Metcalf trade request and called for him not to be traded.

Lenoir really made it sound like DK is the only Seahawks receiver he takes seriously. And then, plot twist—he basically tried to recruit him to the Niners: “We can’t let you leave bro, unless you want to be a Niner. Unless you want to be a Niner, that’s the only way.” He backtracked real quick, adding, “Nah, I ain’t recruiting,” but we all know what’s up.
If DK actually dips, Seattle’s offense is gonna look way different. That would make Smith-Njigba—who, by the way, put up 1,103 yards and six touchdowns last season—the new WR1. However, based on Lenoir’s comments, he does not see him as a real threat.
What’s your perspective on:
Can the Seahawks survive without DK Metcalf, or is their offense doomed without him?
Have an interesting take?
Moral of the story? The NFC West rivalry is still as spicy as ever, and now it’s spilling onto IG Live and Twitter. Whether DK stays or goes, one thing’s for sure—Seattle and San Francisco are gonna keep talking crazy, and we’re all here for the drama.
Seahawks era looks Donezo as DK takes himself out
It’s official: DK Metcalf wants out of Seattle. After six solid seasons of bodying defenders and flexing on DBs, the star wide receiver hit the Seahawks with a trade request. And honestly? Who can blame him? Seattle’s in full-on rebuild mode after cutting Tyler Lockett loose, and DK’s clearly not tryna stick around for that. Bro wants rings, not a rebuild.
Metcalf’s been THAT guy for the Seahawks. But with the team low-key fumbling its competitive edge, it looks like he’s ready to bounce. And the second that news hit the streets, NFL Twitter went feral.
During the latest (March 5th, 2025) Pat McAfee podcast, they were discussing the players, and when the topic of DK came up. Pat wasted no time saying DK would “be a great Packer,” and honestly? He might be onto something. Green Bay‘s been thirsting for a WR1, and Metcalf could be the perfect fit. Meanwhile, Patriots fans were manifesting a trade, but DK shut that all the way down. When asked on Katie Nolan’s Casuals podcast on 25th Jan 2025, about playing in New England, he hit ‘em with a cold “No, it’s not a desirable place, in my opinion.” Bruh. That’s gotta sting. He did throw them a tiny compliment, though: “[The Patriots] are a great organization though. A great organization.” But let’s be real—he’s not tryna catch passes in Foxborough.

Right now, squads like the Packers, Bills, Raiders, and even the Cowboys are circling like vultures, hoping to land him. And let’s be real, dude’s a certified game-changer—who wouldn’t want him? But the Seahawks aren’t about to let him go for free. The price tag is gonna be steep.
Seattle’s already said they’re open to talks, so now it’s just a waiting game. Where’s he gonna land? No clue. But one thing’s for sure—wherever he goes, he’s bringing elite talent, straight-up vibes, and a whole lotta smoke with him. Stay tuned.
