Will the controlled climate of Mercedes-Benz Arena give the Falcons an edge over the Buccaneers?

After last week’s sensational win over the Eagles, the Buccaneers are riding high on confidence vising this week’s opponent, the Falcons in Atlanta. Although they would be looking at getting their fourth win of the season, the weather inside the Mercedes-Benz Arena could be a distraction for them. Will there be rain disrupting the players’ game plan? Or is it going to be clear weather so the fans can enjoy some exciting Thursday Night Football?

Well, based on the current weather report, it looks like the fans wouldn’t have to carry an umbrella with themselves. It’s going to be partially cloudy, and comfortable temperatures are slated to be recorded inside the Mercedes-Benz Arena. Although the stadium has roofing technologies in place, it wouldn’t be needed for the Buccs vs Falcons this week.

A light and gentle breeze will blow around the field, allowing the players to bring their best into the match-up. However, the air quality remains a concern for the fans and players, as it is slated to remain poor throughout the game. High levels of pollution in the air can cause problems for certain groups who have breathing issues.

If you have experienced discomfort in breathing due to poor air quality, you should take the necessary precautions. Although there is little chance of rain for this clash, the humidity levels will remain around 71%. But it doesn’t look like people are going to experience very humid conditions as the wind will be blowing at a speed of 9 km/h.

While we have looked at the weather conditions, let’s have a quick recap of the game that is going to heat up the race for those playoff spots in the NFC South.

Bucs and Falcons take on each other for a prime-time clash this Thursday

Although the Bucs managed to land a win against the Eagles with 33-16, their next few games aren’t going to be easier. The Buccaneers are slated to face off against three of their division rivals that could spice the race for playoff spots in the NFC South. Baker Mayfield, leading the Bucs from the center, has notched up a passer rating of 106.5 after four games into the regular season. And, when it comes to facing off against their division rivals, Mayfield expressed, “You try to treat any game the same, but you know the weight that it carries when you know divisional opponents.”

After racking up eight touchdown passes for this season, Mayfield remains confident in getting a favorable result, “And just the opportunity on a short week, playing somebody on the road, it’s a great opportunity for us to continue to build what we’ve had so far.” But Bucs coach, Todd Bowles, isn’t taking anything for granted, “They’re playing faster and they’re playing with a lot of confidence. They added quite a few guys. They can beat you in a bunch of different ways. We’ve got to be on our P’s and Q’s.”
