According to a report from theScore on X, “Martin Luther King Jr. III and his family will be on hand for tonight’s wild-card game between the Bucs and Eagles.” MLK III will be joined by his wife Arndrea Waters King, and their daughter, Yolanda Renee King. Before the game, MLK III posted a tweet informing his followers that they were honored to join the NFL game for the ceremonial coin toss to celebrate the legacy of his father.

The King family will be serving as the honorary captains for the Buccaneers. As a matter of fact, this will be the first time the King family has come forth and helped commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at an NFL game. Additionally, the Bucs co-owner looked pleased with this attendance as he mentioned the same in a press release.

The team will ensure to honor the American legend through video board tributes and graphics, during the entire gameplay. Furthermore, before the game started, the NFL also announced a five-year commitment to ‘Realizing the dream’—an initiative of the King family that focuses on social change and community impact.
