Deshaun Watson might be going through his toughest time on the gridiron. But off it, he seems to be pretty sorted. I mean, when you have a $230M fully guaranteed contract. And wedding bells are ringing loudly. Do you even need to worry about football anymore? Exactly. Watson isn’t focused on football right now. He is trying to focus on some other things—like his wedding, for instance. Planning for his wedding has yet again revealed how big of a spender Watson can be for those he considers his closest.
Today, Watson’s older brother Detrick showed how much his family means to the Browns QB. Detrick, on his Instagram story, was captured opening a box containing a Rolex. For a while, fans wondered if it was a gift or something Detrick bought for himself. Well, after a few hours, we learned that Detrick’s younger brother had given him that shiny Rolex. Updating us with another story, Detrick wrote the reason behind that Rolex. “lil bro asked to be his best man #MBK,” Detrick shared, tagging Deshaun. Minutes later, Watson himself also reshared the story on his Instagram to showcase his brotherly love.
Actually, Watson has a bit of an affinity for gifting watches to those he considers family. Going back to his Texan days, Watson gifted his offensive linemen, backup QBs, and coaches Hublot Big Bang watches. Each of them was reportedly priced at $13,600, molded in steel and wrapped in a black ceramic bezel. It was a lot of money for sure, but for Watson, it was peanuts. Those gifts came after he signed his $156M extension in 2021. Doing the math, those 15 pieces of Hublot Big Bang watches would only be valued at 0.13% of his contract.

As for Watson, he continued his spending spree after landing in Cleveland. When Browns LB Anthony Walker willingly gave up his No.4 jersey for Watson, he received more than just a thanks. Watson reportedly gifted him a Rolex, like he did with his brother. And also dropped 5 grand for the football program where Walker’s dad works in Florida. Now, if you feel Watson’s spending only hovers around watches. Then, you probably don’t know his engagement gift to his longtime girlfriend, Jilly Anais. Let’s just say Watson went above and beyond in his proposal to his life partner.
Deshaun Watson’s richest gesture yet to his betrothed
Just last July, Deshaun Watson celebrated his fifth anniversary with Anais by getting himself a special tattoo. Not just any special couple’s tattoo. He got a giant back tattoo of Anais’ face. Now, after a year, he planned another surprise for Jilly that probably beats anything he had done previously. Watson chose an engagement ring to propose to Jilly that was apparently worth a whopping $2.5M.
It was a custom-made diamond ring that Deshaun and the jeweler, Vikar Ahmed, took seven months to design. Ahmed even calls it “The Glory Treasure,” as it features 18k white gold and is apparently the purest chemical diamond in the world.

Ahmed also personally detailed the speciality of Jilly’s ring: “At the heart of this exquisite piece lies a premium D center diamond, renowned for its perfect cut and exceptional color & flawless clarity. This diamond engagement ring is not just a piece of jewelry. It is a declaration of commitment, a celebration of craftsmanship, and a mark of prestige.”
For Deshaun, it carries the love he bears for Jilly. And we can’t wait to see what Watson has in store next for their wedding day. Like Jilly had already said, “Mrs. Watson Loading…..”
