After a devastating loss to the Chiefs, it appears that the Browns are trying to experiment a little. The team has already made substantial moves, including benching Jameis Winston. And there has recently been a significant roaster shift. The team suffered a big setback during their game in week 15. For those who missed it, Nick Chubb suffered an injury, and it appears that he will not return. So what will the team do now?
Well, while the injury came out of nowhere, it seems like the Browns have devised a major backup plan. It has been claimed that after placing Nick Chubb on injured reserve, the team has signed another key talent. This player is none other than TE Brenden Bates, who previously was on the practice squad of the Jets.
From there, the man’s performance piqued the Browns’ curiosity. And now that he’s on the 53-man roster, it’ll be intriguing to see if he makes the starting 11 against the Dolphins. The report stated, “The Browns placed RB Nick Chubb on IR and signed TE Brenden Bates off the Jets’ practice squad.”

This might be a terrific move by the Browns, as Bates has the potential to significantly improve the team’s defense. The team will be looking forward to using the 25-year-old, who has a lot to prove in front of the NFL world. In 2022, the man has already shown what he is capable of with 10 receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown. If the TE maintains this kind of form, the Browns‘ new quarterback may also do well. Wait! But who is the new quarterback?

Who did the Browns replace Jameis Winston with?
Well, everyone is aware that the team’s QB situation has been a disaster this season. Deshaun Watson, their original starting QB, suffered a serious Achilles injury that ultimately ended his season. This occurred in Week 7, and since then, Jameis Winston has served as the starting QB. Winston has been decent in seven consecutive games and has fallen short of expectations.
He has passed for 2,121 yards and 13 touchdowns, but he also has 12 interceptions. This is a really poor number for any quarterback. Normally, you would expect the interceptions to decrease over time, but this is not the case for Winston. Eight of the 12 interceptions came in the last three weeks, and as a result, the Browns lost every game during this time period.

Winston will sit out the Week 16 game against the Bengals as a result of all of this. At that point, Dorian Thompson-Robinson enters. The 25-year-old is also a rising star, and this is only his second season. This indicates that the young player would like to become a permanent part of the playing 11. It will be interesting to watch what the new QB does, so stay tuned for future updates.
