“Rocky roads lead to the heights of greatness.” The Denver Broncos proved just that in the 2024 season—fighting their way to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix emerged as a leader, while Zach Wilson spent the year on the sidelines. Well, going forward, it doesn’t really seem like Wilson’s future lies with the Broncos, so what then? Well, that’s the question. With free agency ahead, it will be interesting to see what’s next for the former first-round pick.

For now, Wilson’s future remains uncertain—rumors are swirling about his next move, but nothing is confirmed. Well, whatever he does on the field is yet to be seen, but outside the field, the 25-year-old is certainly making some progress. Nicolette Dellano, Wilson’s fiancee, shared on her Instagram story that their dream home is officially in the works: “Dream home is otw.” Well, it’s certainly good to see how he’s got things coming together off the field!

Wilson is currently the third-string quarterback behind Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham and did not start in any regular season game this season. So should he stay at the Broncos; it doesn’t really make sense, right? It is highly unlikely he will start any games in the 2025 season (unless of course, there is a big injury), so why would he stay? It really will be interesting to see what the future holds for Wilson and the Broncos.

Well, while Wilson’s future is undecided, Sean Payton and the Broncos from their end have been busy making changes to the team. In an interesting update, Payton informed that Drew Sanders will be an inside linebacker going forward: “He’s going to work inside.” This seems interesting, right? Last season Sanders played as an edge rusher, before suffering an injury off-season. This meant he missed a lot of games, and even though he returned, it wasn’t quite the season he would have hoped for. I mean, after a disappointing rookie season, this was his chance, but sadly, it wasn’t anything great.

That makes 2025 a crucial year for Sanders—a true make-or-break season. The good news? Payton believes in him and sees his potential as a key player in the Broncos’ defense: “We think Sanders can be a starter in this league at linebacker. Now let’s see how it goes.” Well, with Payton showing confidence in him, Sanders really has a real shot to prove himself. Well, Sanders at least has one more season at the Broncos, what about Wilson though? Where will he be in the 2025 season?

Zach Wilson is moving to the Raiders?

Interestingly, one team that Wilson has been linked with is the Raiders. Well, Tom Brady’s team really needs a quarterback, and they have been actively looking for one. There have been two names especially, that have been linked with the Raiders: Stafford and Sanders. Now, though, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal has linked Wilson to the Raiders. “Obviously, there’s a long way to go with the Raiders QB room, but a name that keeps coming up here in Indianapolis, at least in terms of bringing into the mix, is Zach Wilson.”

What’s your perspective on:

Could Zach Wilson be the missing piece for the Raiders, or just another temporary fix?

Have an interesting take?

To be fair, Wilson is not a long-term solution for the Raiders; but does that mean it will be a bad move? Well, it sort of works both ways. Wilson can be a bridge quarterback for the team, acting as a temporary solution while they look for a permanent solution during the draft. On the other hand, they already have O’Connell and Minshew as backup options, so it raises the question, does adding a 3rd QB that will potentially be a non-starter make sense?

It’ll be an interesting decision for Pete Carroll and the Raiders. As for Wilson, a move to Vegas might not be the worst thing—especially since it brings him closer to home. Wilson’s future with the Broncos looks unlikely. The Raiders could be a landing spot, but nothing is set. Meanwhile, the Broncos are making big moves, and Sanders faces a make-or-break season. Several changes are coming—the question that remains is where does Wilson fit in all of it?
