The Broncos brought in the legendary coach Sean Payton in 2023 to change their fortunes. End result? Failure. He couldn’t push the QB Russell Wilson and others to qualify for the playoffs. Things changed last year when they drafted Oregon QB Bo Nix in the first round (12th overall). Since then, he has been touted as a franchise player. The hero who will rescue the sinking ship! And he did exactly that by leading Denver into the playoffs after 9 long seasons. Everyone in the Broncos camp is excited about the coming season now.

Broncos President Damani Leech attended the NFL Annual Meeting on March 31 and looked happy while talking to reporters. He hailed Bo Nix as their hero and said, “Simply put, good football is good for business. I think when you have a great quarterback and you have a defensive player of the year like Pat Surtain II, I think that’s good for business. I think fans want to come out and watch them play, I think partners want to be a part of the Broncos, be part of Broncos country, I think all of that is great.

There was one special thing about the NFLPA survey of 2024. While the players were fine or not fully happy with the services, they were highly appreciative of the ownership group. The owner Rob Walton got 9.6/10 from the players. The Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group, to be precise. It was the fourth-best ranking in the NFL with an A grade. It’s also only one of three ownerships to be ranked in the top 5 in each of the last two years.

Overall, the Broncos got the 16th rank in the league. The President added, “We say we want this to be the best team to play for, work for, and cheer for. We mean it.” He revealed how they have added the family room for the players. But there’s a wider view to see. Now, Sean Payton can assure players that their demands are being listened to.
