Playing in the NFL brings its own benefits. The brands rush to sign them up. One such deal is between the 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and the car manufacturer Toyota. Before the 2023 season, they signed a regional deal with the NFL star. In February this year, they upgraded the deal to the national level. It makes a lot of decisions better.

He utilized his deal with Toyota and brought his O-line partners something they could use daily. And it is worthwhile. The franchise posted a video on X showing the new wheels he brought in for his fellow 49ers.

It includes 5 Toyota Sequoia, worth $62,175 each, and another 5 Toyota Tundra worth $39,965 each. That brings the value of Christmas gifts to around $510k. That’s huge, but the happiness on his teammates’ faces was worth watching. They were just joyous about the presents. It’s a sweet act by Brock Purdy.

Even last year, he played Santa Claus for his community. With his teammates, he participated in the 49ers Hope for the Holidays event presented by U.S. Bank. These are the things fans love about him. Not only for his talent but also his gentlemanly character, along with humility, they adore him.

Amid all these, the rumors about his contract extension are spreading everywhere. Many NFL analysts are giving their ways of how the Niners should approach it. The latest in the line is the former Patriots super Julian Edelman.

Dak Prescott, the highest-paid quarterback in the league, is making $60 million per year. He set the trend, and since then, there have been talks of a contract worth more than $50 million. But the 3-time Super Bowl winner, Julian Edelman, opined on the December 18 episode of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, “This year will determine if you are a 30 million dollar quarterback or a 50 million dollar quarterback, and through the whole year it looks like he’s a 30 million dollar quarterback. Which is a great quarterback, he’s a good football player, but we’re seeing his limitations when guys aren’t playing, and when there’s excuses.

Well, Brock Purdy took them to the Super Bowl in his second year in the NFL. But things have flipped this year. With a 6-8 win-loss record after week 15, the chances of the playoff are slim. Almost negligible! In 13 games this year, he has 247 of 380 passes (65% completion rate) in 3,174 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.

The 49ers management has often said that they want to sign an extension with the QB. After 15 days, their regular season will be over. Whether they give him an extension or say goodbye, the picture will only become clearer then.
